Whenever I read the comments of people I can tell people who really knows and understanding of what it takes to do HBCU BAND, the time and commitment to put into it, but when you only can say one band is trash without a reason or example I don't agree with , playing HBCU BAND is hard work and pride

I agree. Its collegiate music programs. I know it's fun to trade back n forth but ..whatever the crowds response said it was entertaining live tho so I guess it worked. They low key put a show on together. Southern with the crispy finish tho.

Txsu couldn’t have lost that bad because the polls for the performance stated txsu won. Plus SU is marching more than Txsu and sounds like their missing instruments 😭 Also Southern has terrible cut offs . Txsu won period .

Lol I love the ignorance but I will say SU is very impressive. Not to take anything away from TxSU, because damn they are pushing watts, but the musician in me loves to hear advanced musicality and there’s nothing too advanced with half notes and quarter note sections.
For example, TxSU’s euphos are singing that one note and that is cutting like a hot knife in warm butter. SU’s euphos are playing rhythms and chording them. Winner winner bbq chicken dinner to the Jukes

Can anyone tell me why TxSU has one of the smallest bands in the SWAC year after year when their campus is centrally located in the heart of the 4th largest city in the U.S. SU recruits alot members from the Houston area. The town of Prairie View is virtually a village but PVAMU's band is almost twice the size of TxSU.
I’ll be honest, by far the best battle I’ve seen in awhile. That being said I can’t even say who won. They ate, yeah you know here comes the however😂 That Lil Phat and trill ENT “my baby” by SU... yeah my favorite part of the video.
I liked this exchange, TxSU was itchin to get a battle in since they upped their numbers compared to the last battle they had with SU. Their sound and volume definitely improved but they lacked in music selection, it definitely would’ve been a close tie if they played better songs.
