The best episode I’ve seen was “the K street crew”. For several years detectives tried relentlessly to takedown this gang, but every informant they had kept getting murdered. Apparently the gang was using the freedom of information act to find out who was informing and it became impossible to prosecute the grange because all the witnesses kept dying.

Chesa Boudin was elected as a D.A. in San Francisco, but was recalled after two years because the San Franciscans had it with his leniency toward the criminals. What is the opinion of modern day law enforcement. , on civilians owning military grade assault rifles?

    • @jakesoros2376
      @jakesoros2376 Рік тому +1

@@sirvilhelmofyonderland Most police don't have a problem with it because they know the overwhelming majority of those rifles are in good hands and won't be used against them. They tend to have similar mindsets to the people who lawfully own those firearms in the first place, namely, the police do a good job, but they can't be everywhere at once, and with a huge recidivism rate among American criminals, over 70% of which are hardened violent felons, the average citizen needs to be able to protect his family, property, and himself if necessary until law enforcement can arrive.
In an age where police numbers are dwindling, response times grow ever longer, and sometimes politicians will ensure police can't patrol an area at all (see CHAZ/CHOP in Seattle, Washington), there are times when nobody is coming to rescue you, except for yourself.

Here is a long update on all the known criminals involved in this case:
    1. Judy Clark: Sentenced to 75 years to life, but in 2016 had her sentence commuted to 35 years by Governor Andrew Cuomo because she had no representation at her trial. Granted parole in 2019.
    2. Kathy Boudin: Sentenced to 20 years to life, paroled in 2003, died in May 2022 of cancer.
    3. David Gilbert: Sentenced to 75 years to life, commuted to 40 years by Governor Andrew Cuomo and was paroled in 2021.
    4. Samuel Brown: Sentenced to 75 years to life, still in a NY prison at age 82.
    5. Samuel Lee Smith: Shot and killed by police.
    6. Edward Joseph (now going by Jamal Joseph): Served 5 1/2 years in Leavenworth and was released.
    7. Donald Weems (aka Kuwasi Balagoon): Sentenced to 75 years to life, died in prison in 1986 of pneumonia brought on by AIDS.
    8. Cecil "Chui" Ferguson: Sentenced to 12 years, released in 1989 and current whereabouts unknown.
    9. Tyrone Rison: no information on sentence found
    10. Susan Rosenberg: Sentenced to 58 years in prison, served 16 years before having her sentence commuted to time served by President Bill Clinton and was released in 2001.
    11. Marilyn Jean Buck: Sentenced to 80 years, only served 25 years before being released in July 2010 and died a month later from cancer.
    12. Mutulu Shakur: Sentenced to 60 years with the possibility of parole after 30 years, granted compassionate parole in December 2022 because he had terminal bone marrow cancer and just died on July 6.
Miscellaneous facts: There are tons of other members of both organizations involved with the people in this case that have served time and released or still at large, including Assata Shakur (no relation) a leader of the BLA, who got busted out of prison and is living in political exile in Cuba to this day. Thankfully both the BLA and Weather Underground are long defunct.
And of course not mentioned in the video but Mutulu Shakur was the stepfather of the late rapper Tupac Shakur.

Marilyn Buck, who served more than two decades in prison for her role in the 1981 Brink’s armored-car robbery in Rockland County, N.Y., in which three people were killed, died on Tuesday at her home in Brooklyn. She was 62.
The cause was uterine cancer, according to the Plaza Jewish Community Chapel in Manhattan.
Because of her illness, Ms. Buck was released from the Federal Medical Center, Carswell, in Fort Worth, on July 15. She is survived by three brothers.
The Brink’s robbery endures in the national memory as a powerful example of a politically motivated act gone violently awry. Carried out by a coalition of radical groups that included the Weather Underground and the Black Liberation Army, the holdup netted nearly $1.6 million, which was recovered immediately.
Two police officers and a Brink’s guard were fatally shot in the course of the holdup, which unfolded in and around Nanuet, N.Y., on Oct. 20, 1981
