  • The recipe featured here calls for a foolproof, all-butter food processor pastry dough that comes together in less than five minutes. It yields the flakiest of flaky crusts, and I use this recipe for every pie, galette, tart, etc. I make, including this French apple tart, which looks stunning/fancy, but which in fact is incredibly simple. The hardest part about this process is slicing the apples thinly and keeping the apple "fans" together.

    This is the first time I did a tart from scratch. It was délicieux! The crust is absolutely divine when is warm…simple to make and the results is spectacular. Thank you from Montréal.

    That IS the best pastry dough! I used it for the peach galette you posted this summer - and I could have eaten the crust all by itself! Love seeing this apple slicing technique. That is a very sharp knife. Great skills. ☺️ Time to buy some more apples. Cheers.

    This came out great! Not peeling the apples was a massive timesaver, and didn't affect the texture, thanks to how thin the slices are. Thank you for a helpful and refreshingly concise video!

    I made this yesterday! It was delicious. I did mess up the pastry dough since I didnt have butter and i added margarine.. I guess that's why it was really runny but i used more flour. I also mixed some cinnamon in the sugar :D thank you for the recipe ❤️ love from Sri Lanka!
