WWE Wrestlemania 40 Night 1 Results & Ratings
Overall show grade: Good Show! (B) An overall fun, productive, and effective show. It may have one or two dips in matches or segments, but overall it did not harm the enjoyment. The majority of the matches were good, overall booking and storylines were kept fresh, and it did its job keeping the viewers excited for upcoming shows while creating interest to tune in next week.

This really wasn't a bad show at all, but I can't help but think that it really didn't live up to the hype.
I'm hoping that Night 2 is better and they're willing to give more time to the matches and make the right decisions for the match outcomes.

I was let down with this WrestleMania night one very sloppy matches and the only good match was main event 😞 WWE better delivered today if not this has been the weakest WrestleMania under triple H

Hey Alyx, sorry I missed your review, but I'll leave a like on this video to make up for that. I have to ask, did you hear that aw is going to release the footage. I honestly feel like that's a bad move on their part. I hope it's just a skit or some kind of joke and not really footage. I feel like it's petty on top of that. If it exposes them, it's even more detrimental. Even as a fan of AEW, I can't condone that move that they are doing!
I fully believe Carlito attacked Dragon Lee
To be honest, I thought might 1 would give us legends to open up the show along side triple h but like mania 30 but I guess not. However the crowd felt dead during that cold temp at the stadium, there was great wrestling matches except Jey vs Jimmy which was a just super kick party.
Remember, we're getting a draft soon so we may have a whole new set of challengers for people like Rhea
The highlights for me on night 1 was Rtruth winning tag team gold, Sami Zayn shockingly dethroning Gunther and the tag team main event especially the part where Roman SPEARED the rock, planting the seeds 🌱for what’s gonna happen at night 2 which I know will be a better night.
I was told that Cody got booed out of the building. That spells trouble because if Cody wins and gets booed out the building, his title run is going to suck. Proving that the fans that wanted Cody to be champion are marks.
While I agree, we gotta remember that this Mania crowd is the hardest of the hardcore wrestling fans. A lot of the people at this show came to see the Rock and a lot of them are older fans that like Roman.
Cody will probably get his usual reaction on Raw next week but he got stale in AEW and the fans turned on him so it is a possibility. I just hope Triple H can keep Cody's title run interesting enough to keep his fans behind him.

We said that about Kofi Kingston in 2019, but WWE dropped the ball on him. The fans will turn on Cody possibly on the Raw after Mania. I can't get behind Cody as champion. Especially after Cody sunk the ratings last year from 2.26 million to 1.33 million viewers.
@@BaithNaactually it’s the opposite a lot of people at mania are the most casual you can be as fan and they just came to see rock I wouldn’t be surprised if dole didn’t even know who Roman was let alone Cody
I felt like they should've never done this match having Becky just lose like that. The career that this woman has had and going out there in the cold with 102 degree fever while still being full time and raising her family. She didn't deserve that treatment from the fans. I'm not saying boo Rhea, but Becky has done nothing to get booed. You could have cheered both
Overall i am happy that sami win also cody and seth and roman got shit on and the rock is over and very dumb and the booking is all over the place jey vs Jimmy was dumb they could book this in over 6 months and jimmy got his ass kicked over and over again.
Cody will win tonight I'm pretty sure I'll be correct on that.

At this point they have absolutely no choice unless they plan to piss people off to no end with a terrible decision to keep Roman with the title.
