WWE Wrestlemania 40 Night 2 Results & Ratings
Overall Wrestlemania 40 Weekend Grade: Great! (B+) An overall fun, productive, and effective show. It may have one or two dips in matches or segments, but overall it did not harm the enjoyment. The majority of the matches were good, overall booking and storylines were kept fresh, and it did its job keeping the viewers excited for upcoming shows while creating interest to tune in next week.
Night 2 Overall Show Grade: Fantastic! (A) Good to great matches, memorable segments, good storyline progression for all divisions, and high energy throughout. The show is good enough to wake up a dead crowd and all wrestlers involved come out looking better than how they looked going in. Definitely worth the price of admission and a show that can be seen more than once and never get old.

It was great too see taker he’s the ghost of wrestlemania and he’s a ghost from the bloodline past too let’s not forget Roman luckily beat taker at wm 33 and taker used to put rock in check in the attitude era and ruthless aggression era and Paul keeps bragging about how he the one behind the one behind 21-1 now taker got even with them all especially Paul by being the main one behind the one behind the end of Roman’s reign
I wanted Roman to retain. I didn’t expect that, and I also am glad the fans got what they wanted. That’s what really matters.

I agree with your point on Cody wasn’t ready to be champion last year, I keep hearing people saying “he should’ve beat Roman last year!!” Why? Because he came back after 10 years and had 3 matches and went away on injury? Nah he needed more establishment if he was gonna be the one to dethrone Roman reigns WWE made the right call last year. Wether or not Cody will be a good champion remains to be seen. I think the fact is this match should’ve not happened this year and Roman should still be champion but the Cody crybabies got what they want “waaaa I’m tired of Roman as champion we want Cody!!!!”

Believe it or not alyx a lot of people think drew Bayley and Roman reigns played a big part in the pandemic era and i saw a lot of people put roman 3rd in terms of it and put bayley first what's your opinion on thay

Finishing the story is not just about having Roman lose. It’s not even the main theme. It was about Cody finally getting the championship that his father could never win that he wanted to win a big part. Most of the part of the story is him being able to capture that elusive championship and obviously beating Roman reigns was needed and added a lot to the story, but the main theme was how Cody has gotten over with the fans Over and for him to finish because he didn’t finish it would just make him look like a chump. Also, you thinking just because Brandi was out there for his entrance means that it’s going to be the Cody verse and all these other people and it’s gonna become like AEW. It’s just ridiculous. People haven’t gotten tired of Cody and he’s been running on finish the story for a year and a half now. Let’s just be honest Cody Rhodes in AEW was only there for three years and they are nowhere near the storytelling or the company or the quality of wrestlers mixed with the storytelling that WWE is. Basically half the time. He was in AEW. He has been running on finishing the story and it has not gotten old, but you all of a sudden think now that he has all sorts of different opponents and storytelling that he will have a chance with Triple H running this long-term storytelling that all of a sudden fans are gonna get sick of him no, he’ll just have, different storytelling and how he’s talking about his stories.
That main event was depressing for Roman and Cody, good write off for Seth.
The main event wasn’t depressing for Roman and Cody. They put on a show and the whole match was amazing and the best way to go to have Roman lose title
@DuckFanDane Roman was the 5th most important guy in the match and Cody was the 4th most important guy. How is this any different then Sting Triple at 31?

I personally hope Drew comes out on RAW tonight and demands Punk show his cowardly face. I hope the whole show is segments of him looking for Punk and then when he finds him makes him pay for what he did. Drew didn't sell anything to the Devil. He did what needed to be done to get his moment. He didn't take any short cuts and didn't get any help from anyone. He did it all on his own. Fans just don't like that he didn't do it as a lying phony. Pretending to be the good guy when he's actually a piece of crap. CM Punk is the one that gave up everything and then came crawling back to WWE when he had nowhere else to go. That was Drews moment and I hope Punk pays for ruining it.
They say Cody had the best story ever but his story was so lackluster with Roman they had to make him win the RR to make it make sense why they would suddenly have to face each other & the build was terrible to the point Rock had to save it lol I'm just glad it's over & he can get out the Bloodline story although his fans will want it to continue cause there's no way he's going to be able to carry the WWE while Rock & Roman are away. How long you think before we start hearing Roman or Rock chants during Cody's promos lol
