This adjustable collar piece made a great collar - but there's a bit of a weak point in that the adjusting slider slides way too easily. Nice for a collar that's just to look nice, but for a bigger dog I wouldn't rely on it. Really easy to work with - looks nice and smart!
I'm not a dog owner, but wanted to try to make a couple of collars using the heavy duty adjustable collar strap, and now have 2 that I ordered a few weeks ago. However, I am confused about the total amount of adjustment that this strap will add or subtract from the woven paracord portion of the collar. In order words, what is the shortest and longest this strap will make the collar. I just can't seem to get my head around those dimensions.
This is great, but I’m not sure how a locking buckle is good for a dog who pulls? Ten years in vet med (specialty/emergency) and as a certified dog trainer I’ve not experienced, seen, or heard of a standard collar buckle coming undone/opening/breaking. If a dog is a ‘puller’, I’d recommend an appropriately designed and fit harness, as well as teaching behaviors that make up loose leash walking. Pulling against a collar isn’t great for the structures in their neck, and what gets reinforced gets repeated, so if pulling is allowed or won’t ‘go away’. Love your channel!!!
Amazing video man. I just make a purchase of the materials to make the old version of the paracord dog collar, and now you make a new version of it that its better, i am going to get one now.
@@ParacordPlanet yep…. MONKEYS…. I wanted to make the male's adjustable like this, but they can’t be because the male can chew through that webbing… But not the paracord! Go figure lol…. I’m doing a blended baby sanctified for the adjustable area so that the buckle needle can go through easier … I’m trying to work out a way to incorporate some small grommets for the buckle needle…. Think I FINALLY figured it out… :) after the baby sanctified, I transitioned into a modified sanctified/chained falls… it’s looking pretty good so far :) I used 325 for the sanctified and 95 cord for the modified chained falls… otherwise it would be way tooo thick for the male's neck. I’m just going to do a plain king cobra for the belt that goes around the waist of the female… the harness for the baby/juvenile is a little more tricky…. But I think after watch THIS VIDEO, I have figured out how to make that thing adjustable for her… I want her to be able to grow with it until she reaches the age where she has to wear a "belt" by law…. These monkeys are in Malaysia and belong to a man named Jamil. He has a channel here on UA-cam… you can find him and the monkeys here: ua-cam.com/users/bbcatlover Ignore the cat lover thing.... he is a cat lover but that's the channel lol he rescues cats as well…
@@ParacordPlanet where can I send pics when I get them finished? It will be another couple of weeks before I can finish them though… I had major spinal surgery a couple of weeks ago… I now have a complete fusion from c1-L4… the surgery was to extend what I already had … but it ended up being way more than what we thought… isn’t that how it always works?
That's the most beautiful dog colar I've ever seen! Koudos for the colour choice and the workmanship!!!

where exactly to hook the leash?
Perfect too nice Merry Christmas 🌲
Needs a D ring to hook to leash. Agree the adjustable part is too easy to come apart
Do you do anything without the use of a jig? I don't have one, and need to do it without
We like to use them because they make weaving easier, but you can certainly get by without a jig. 🪐
Thank you
Looking forward to the smaller version for my twenty pound dog👍
Alguém pode me passar a medida dessa madeira?
Aqui está! www.paracordplanet.com/60-ultimate-jig/
@@ParacordPlanet Obrigada
You wouldnt want to sew the adjustable part to make secure?
Do you have a section of webbing sold with the D ring attached for this collar on your store or do you have to buy separately?
Never mind found it
Need to add a second "D" ring to attach the leash too. Otherwise a great project.👍👍👍
You said about a cat one being added to the web store but... there's only the one for a dog.
Awesome!
Por favor legenda em português...
That's cool. Thank you
I can’t wait for payday so I can order everything to make this and the leash.
Nice looking collar…. I’m making a collar, belt, and a harness for some monkeys…. The harness is a pain in the tuckus…..
Monkeys? No Way! You have got to show us pictures when you're done. 🐵
