Pixel has the portrait photography of 2018 smartphones. They claim to be the king of AI but still can't do proper edge cutout. Even the iPhone 7 Plus does better.
Well it's not about iphone only even pixel 2,3,4 and 5 can take better potraits than 6,7,8 and 9 so yeab google needs to fix this asap

@@Anjula321 maybe because it lacks neural core but the pixel 5 I've seen takes better potraits with 1x than 6+ series
2016 Huawei with Leica designed camera legitimately was better to take photos with than my pixel 6 pro. Pixel cameras and software/processing are terrible.
@@Anjula321I don't know Google every time talking about Ai but can't fix the portrait till date. I am using a pixel 6 but sometimes the portrait picture is great like DSLR.

I thought my unit has some issue resulting in light glare issue, especially at night. Apparently, it's an issue in all s24u units. Pretty darn good comparison btw.
As a s24u user, I would prefer Pixel 9 pro XL camera based on samples above and camera consistency. I can never depend on my s24u, most of the times result is amazing, but sometimes it messes up pictures badly especially with moving objects, direct light source and sharpness.
S24u camera is good, but there has been no update yet since release to update camera quality. With update and optimization, s24u can go toe to toe with Pixel camera in almost all scenarios.
In low light conditions my S24 ultra looks super fake

Well, the Pixel shoots quite closer to my Leica lens. Samsung and iPhone's I feel are way too unnatural with their wax skin effect. Google just needs to fix its portrait Algo asap.

I would like to disagree with you on the portrait picture quality! Even MKBHD says that Samsungs' subject isolation is the best and thats what matters a lot for portrait pics! Otherwise a great comparison work by you guys though!

I'd take Pixel 9 Pro XL if it was cheaper than it is now. Otherwise Vivo X100 Ultra is better in terms of cameras than both these phones.

Had the pixel 6a and 7pro I like stock android but I don't like the tensor chip I have the s24 ultra now with pixel buds pro best phone and earbuds I've had so far

@danielvargo4498 I have the pixel buds 3 pro and I think they work really good especially when it comes to watching movies on them noise cancelation is similar to the pixel buds pro as far as the tearing I bought mine after the recall no issues so far knock wood but I also didn't try and change the tips because they fit fine

One category which nobody talks about is photos of moving objects, kids, pets. Samsung sucks big time in this since years.

Watch dxomark or other tests. Her reviews are always biased to Samsung or either iPhone

Best android flagships camera phone is Vivo X100 Ultra for next few years. Samsung Apple and Google can't even reach closer to X100 Ultra for at least few years
Pixel 9 pro xl is overall a better phone than S24 Ultra.
Samsung fanboy. The pixel's night photos are better, they show more detail. In the darker areas. With the pixel photo you can get to the Samsung's with editing but with the Samsung You can't get to the pixel photo

According to me samsung is clear winner in all department.
