me too, I wish they could answer normally to stuff like "when did you form?" "when is a new album coming out?" "are you touring next year?" and those kinds of questions. they should be free to answer whatever they want.
They actually had a hand in writing the lyrics on some of the songs and are rumoured to be having a much higher input in the writing process of future songs too

I'm confused... The interview is going seamlessly, yes Babymetal doesn't seem to speak English, and the interviewer doesn't speak Japanese. So is there some kind of real-time translation going on, did both sides rehearse a script and just keep going back and forth in their own languages, or do Babymetal and the interviewer both know the other language and are just responding in their own?
I think BabyMetal understand English, but are not fluent in speaking English. So my guess is they answer in Japanese and the interviewer hopes the answer makes sense and go on to the next question making the interview flow reasonable. I speak English as a second language but find hearing my pronunciation of English words so cringe-worthy that I would prefer to answer in Swedish if i had the option. (And then I am a 37 year old engineer)
