With their latest masterpiece "Njord", Leaves' Eyes embarks on yet another enthralling journey through the myths and sagas of the North. The strong and sonorous compositions familiar to the band's fanbase have been further developed. The adventure begins with the title track's powerful and somber choruses and orchestra. Fans will find the continuation of the Leave's Eyes hit "Elegy" in the rocking single "My Destiny", which is only one of the many catchy and soon-to-be hits delivered by Liv and her colleagues. Devilishly enticing are the refrains found on "Take the Devil in Me", "Northbound", and "Through Our Veins", the last of which reminisces in the driving beats of the eighties' rock rhythms. Leaves' Eyes' passion for both heavy and opulent sounds harmonizes perfectly with memorable melodies, as in the epic track "Ragnarok", while "Emerald Island" surprises with heavy double bass passages that are counterattacked by Liv Kristine's haunting vocals. Alongside the lavish hits, Leaves' Eyes always finds room for the more subdued folk moments, such as in the interpretation of the English traditional song "Scarborough Fair" or the fragile acoustic ballad "Irish Rain". The opus "Froyas Theme" rounds off the Nordic journey, uniting the choral arrangements of the magnificent Lingua Mortis Orchestra with the emotional strength inherent in the new Leaves' Eyes compositions. 20 years ago I stopped playing bass because I'm an old man. then I heard this song and I was inspired to play again. Now I'm even older, I have worn out fingers, arthritis, need back and neck surgery from the headbanging. We euthanize cats and dogs for less. Thanks Leaves Eyes!

51 here and I totally agree. I am always amused at the old farts who claim there is no good music around anymore. Perhaps stop listening to the radio and MTV and learn the internet? I have found so many awesome bands over the past 10 or so years.
46 here and almost every day i find a new band or genre of music i am liking. Good music is out there you just have to look past what is being force feed to the masses on the radio and television

Don't worry Liv... Good guitarists are a dime a dozen. Get your self 2 or so, a decent bass player and drummer and you will be fine. This band will have a much harder time replacing you than you will replacing them. They may get another singer, but they will never find another you. 😞

Actually Liv and Alex are very much fine. From interviews if one should read she was planning on working more with Alex. And the band decided to remove her without her knowing. They claim she knew about the decision but the documents from Metal Insider prove Liv was telling the truth. www.metalinsider.net/updates/leaves-eyes-hired-replacement-singer-for-liv-kristine-before-firing-her The band said the decision to move on was agreed upon by all parties back in January but the signed document of that meeting is dated April. As it also says 'as Liv claimed'. So it is sadly the band lying here not Liv about what went on. From what I can read, and read from a great many reputable sources, nothing is happening with their marriage. I tend to avoid personal blogs as factual, or less reputable sites. The new singer appeared with them in concerts starting in April. They claim the paperwork was done in January, but if you look its April, then new singer openly started in April as well. A lot of misinformation is going around. So if you do not read it in sources, don't believe other people. All of what I say here is linked to actual reports from Metal Insider, but you can also go to the bands site, Liv's personal site, and other reputable links to gain the same information I have. Not things stated without actual reputable proof. The page on Facebook disappeared in June. You can go here www.livkristine.net/liv-kristine-facebook-page/ where the site admin notes pages disappear sometimes. I've never seen that happen. As well as Facebook does also keep a backup of its files. It states that Facebook was unable to relaunch it. Actually that is not what the response says, it says clearly 'Unfortunately we can not confirm that any person who is working on this site, was hacked. Therefore, we can not re-add you as a page administrator. …'. Which suggests the page was legally taken over and taken down from there (either by Facebook itself or another party). As for the comment 'For more information, feel free to research in Google yourself, as it happens that Facebook pages disappear. Unfortunately it’s not uncommon that Facebook doesn’t really care about it.' I did just that, and Facebook does care many of those reports were Facebook itself terminating the pages for one reason or another. Not that the page just mysteriously vanished as the claim seems to suggest. Other reports noted that country restrictions caused pages to seemingly also disappear. As for the thinking that Facebook has to message you before doing this read their ToS. They can with or without warning. Her new fan page can be found here facebook.com/LivKristineOfficial. A lot of these rumors outside Liv, the band, even reputable band sites, do not say anything of a deeper personal nature. IE that she has issues with her husband etc. This I found mostly running into blogs, reddit, etc. You can't put full faith in them. And its also harder to take rumors seriously when they simply reference 'Liv's father' without noting his actual name. Which often can give you a understanding it was just ranted off. Her father is Ove H. Espenæs and mother is Liv E. Davidsen. Ove's twitter page is pretty much void of anything, let alone anything personal. Her sister's Facebook can be found here facebook.com/carmenespenaes/. And in no part does she mention anything personal, only saying in posts 'if my mind could talk'. Which could relate to anything about the situation.
