You can usually pull knobs off of appliances to clean behind them. They are just friction fitted.

I'm off grid in North Idaho. I heat with a wood stove. When I need to leave the cabin for a day or two, I have a Toyotomi oil stove that takes over heating my cabin. It burns agricultural or red dyed diesel fuel very efficiency. I got the stove recommendation watching "An Alaska Homestead" on UA-cam in their 2 part episode How to install a Toyostove. A great channel. So I now have a second source of heating that comes on automatically if I don't want to get up to tend the fire at 2 am. Very well made, simple, very little power required and it directly vents through a wall without a chimney required.

Got a lil hack for you. Scoop your ashes teeter the shovel left and right leave the coalin the stove then pour the ash and clinkers in the ash bucket. Now place the bucket safely on hearth and let them give you heat while they cool. Then dump.
Now dont get me wrong i run mine none stop.
So im doing this while the some coal remnants are ready to fire back up lil dry stuff and a log .

So good to see Tux having the trip as well!! we have here in Australia foil protectors that go under each gas burner and I use them all the time and I have bottled gas like you have so I know it's safe. They do last a good amount of time too and you can wash them and re-use them. Try Walmart, Lowes, or some other big store that carries cooking accessories.

I just saw something you really ought to see. I was watching Lumna Acres on UA-cam. They are also making videos on building off grid. They are in Vermont and it is snowing there. You are ahead of them as they are just starting sheetrock. They discovered a non-sponsored product called Blind Mark. You can see it on their video: Here We GO!!! The Calm
Before the STORM | Building Our OFF GRID House in the WOODS - UA-cam The product they found is to locate electrical boxes when installing sheetrock. It worked so fantastically on their first try that I bought one as I will be sheet rocking soon. Too bad they didn't have a link because they received no influencer's reward for my purchase. Check it out at the following three points in the above video 20:50, 24.35 and 26:20.

I never bothered with burner trays that you buy, I just folded up several layers of tin-foil and moulded into place under the trays and then replace as needed. It goes into recycling and a new 'tray' is installed. You might try hanging bags of mothballs from the fruit trees. Some animals hate that smell. You will probably have to end up bagging that moose. Now that they know that food source they will come back again and again if you don't.

We did some frozen onions at a plant we had in GA. We were having a meeting in the plant one day, not on the production floor, and the owner said we looked like a bunch of college kids smoking dope with our eyes red.

A tip to clean your stove. Items you'll need. Papertowel, Saran rap, amonia, blue grade scrubber sponge (this type of sponge will not scratch the enamel of most stoves, check your manufacture for cleaning instructions), scrub brush with plastic scraper. Step one: cover the stove top with papertowel (works best with a sealed stovetop), Step two: saturate the papertowel with amonia, Step three: Seal the stovetop with saran wrap overlapping the saran wrap to cover the entire stovetop (this is to seal the stove top so the amonia dosen't evaporate and to keep the amonia smell out of the kitchen), Step four: Let it sit over night and the next morning remove the saran wrap and papertowel, using the sraper side of the brush with the blue scrubber sponge clean the stove top. The baked on food should come off easily. Repeat or let the amonia set for 24 hours. Step Five: Rinse the amonia off the stove top.
