I just got my 2 ragdoll kittens a week ago (number 3). As a busy person myself, I decided that getting 2 was extremely important to me. That way they don't get lonely when I'm gone to work and they always have a buddy around. Plus it doesn't get much cuter than 2 kitties running around playing with each other.
I have a Himalayan, and during the day he is awake for approximately 1 hour. Every time you see him, he’s sleeping
Now that's a good life 😅
That’s like my British Shorthairs! They’d better be on the list…they’re very chill and cuddly.
Edit: Yes! They made the list. I don’t know why all the breed profiles say they aren’t lap cats, and prefer to be near you. I could cuddle both of mine like teddy bears…they were my best cuddlers. Maybe it’s because I adopted them as seniors, and they were very well loved by their first human.
I have a half Maine Coon, half Norwegian Forrest cat. She’s both very lazy and very sweet. Not a lap cat, but she follows me around like a shadow. She enjoys her alone time. She’s also too smart for her own good. We reached an agreement with where she can and cannot jump on. Sofa, bed, chairs, all good. Rest of the furniture is a no. It wasn’t even hard. She’s not food motivated, so I think she reacts to my emotions really. Generally, if I say no she stops doing whatever she’s doing.
I did ask for the laziest of the litter though, given that we live in a flat.
My personal favorite is the maincoons ! Extremely smart and very loving.
I had a Siamese, like the chartreuse, she would go to meow, nothing comes out, soft and fluffy and loved me more than anything
I was surprised to not find Russian Blue in the list. They are pretty chill and can be left alone during work time.
true, but I think they're too easily scared/aloof to be considered laid-back, and they're pretty demanding when it comes down to food
@@FactsaboutCatsVideos food issues shouldnt be there. Russian blues can be left for a day and wont make a mess of the house.
@@aeye9772I've heard about Russian blues sometimes being destructive when not fed on time, but this be solved with an automatic cat feeder

it's so unfortunate that the most cutest and unique cat breeds like Scottish fold, Munchkin, etc... don't live very long and are prone to diseases 😭 😢

How can an American shorthair be one of the world’s oldest breeds? America is not that old.
Thought to have originated in Europe and brought by settlers to the American landmass. Either way, the continent of America existed way before the current body politic. Since they are domesticated, the Europe theory is plausible.

Errrrr...I have a blue point white socks Ragdoll (19 years old this year)...the older he is, the louder he meows all over the place especially early morning between 2 to 5 am...he's super active at night but sleeps in the day...his early morning meows can be heard at least one floor up and down my apt 😆 ...had this fellow since he was 3 weeks old...laid back? hmmm he was nibbling our ankles when he was young almost like a corgi herding sheep...btw he was exact opposite when young...active day time sleeps at night.

I don't believe Calico is a breed. I'm sure it's a trait.

Ragdolls are loud and meow to much and are high energy and most of the time not great with small children. I should know I have 2 from different breeders. I would not get that breed again.
