NovoTrack Completes High-Quality Renovation of Northwestern Polytechnical University Running Track

On April 17th, the track and field runway at Northwestern Polytechnical University's Friendship Campus officially opened for use. NovoTrack successfully completed the renovation project for the runway. The university thoroughly researched construction techniques, brands, and acceptance criteria for rubberized tracks. Based on extensive investigations, they developed a design and implementation plan, which was approved by the campus improvement task force, selecting the NovoTrack brand.
To ensure high quality, the campus infrastructure department rigorously managed construction key points, employing methods such as on-site supervision, field experiments, and process inspections. During construction, measurements were meticulously taken using rulers and leveling instruments, with subsequent installations only proceeding after passing smoothness inspections. The track surface's smoothness error did not exceed 3mm, longitudinal slopes were within 0.1%, and lateral slopes within 1%, ensuring uniform color and meeting national standards for sports field usage.
To maintain construction quality and shorten the timeline, the infrastructure department collaborated with the construction firm, adjusting schedules based on weather and temperature conditions. Initial tasks included updating lighting systems and enclosing construction sites. During winter break, groundwork such as removing old surface layers, milling asphalt, and filling sandpits was completed. With rising spring temperatures, prefabricated rubber running tracks were laid.
Despite challenges such as adverse weather and pollution, causing 33 days of work stoppage due to Level II emergency responses, the project was completed within 70 days, delivering 12,638.84 square meters of track 32 days ahead of schedule.
