I might actually miss the R46s when they retire. With the R211s in service, it only makes sense to keep the R46s in service until it breaks down for the final time or in the yards in case the R211s break down while in passenger service
Nah the R211s breaking down chances are very slim to none, After all the MTA said they are the new modern day train and will most likely run forever but the R46s been running for 30+ years now they the high chance of breaking down and the R211s just got into passenger service so there's no way they will break that quickly especially with the new technology implanted on the R211s I can't wait to they finally go in service for all the lines when they are done with the 30 day passenger tests
They waste before they are wasted and no longer operable. If they have tow trains in C Division, they can just tow them when R46’s are done with life and can’t be fixed anymore
I will too but that makes no sense. MTA is getting rid of these trains as soon as the final R211 gets delivered. I am certain they will have a last day celebration for railfans but they are not keeping these trains.
Propulsion is the same as a Sydney NSW Metro Alstom Metropolis. Oddly the Alstom Metropolis family can be used to make 5 door open gangway trains if needed

7:55 The race you been waiting for
2:22 cut moment
yes ik it’s because of the fight.
I am glad that the New York Subway has consistently stuck with unpainted stainless steel for a very long time (unless you count the Redbirds).
I like it, makes them look clean
If only they could make the stations looks even somewhat modern and clean

Awesome video
Is the R211 okay? I heard of the 181st Street incident.
dont worry its the first day of the r211 probably after a week there would be not that much chaos anymore
What happened?
Someone said there was a fight
I don't get why they said there would be no doors in between cars but there are where are the open gangways?
Thats on the r211T that was the r211a
The open gangways are R211Ts, the R211As have doors
They are the R211A, not the R211T are you dumb?

Those are going to start testing in the last quarter of 2023
R211 😱
So basically they are going to have no ending cars which you can walk through and also cars you can't walk through the whole train.
@fan Railer u caught me in that video
6206!
They're still not the R-10s.
Ok, and?
