    When will this be available on your website (meaning all the parts for the upgrade to the JT) and it would have been cool to have seen a more before and after video i.e. what did the JT Rubicon do on the DYNO prior to the upgrade and then add this to the after video.

    How would this kit interface with a snorkel? I could understand maybe having to run custom tubing if the intake is relocated, but would the increased vacuum potentially collapse a snorkel's intake tubing?

    Good video. Do you think the transmission will hold when towing 5,000 pounds and the supercharger? EDIT: I’m sure it will hold for X time but what are the long term problems

      The transmission has proven strong in other platforms already. We have not heard of anyone burning one up. A sharp eye on engine and trans temps while towing will avoid these issues.

      Supercharger is definitely A LOT cheaper, unless you know how to do all the engine swap work yourself.

      I did a GM L83 5.3 with an 8 speed, not for big power, but for efficiency and range (600 miles) with my dual fuel tanks.
      I could SC and make over 600hp but what for? It's a jeep.

    Question as soon as you install a twin screw super charger the upper intake is gone so is the throttle body, and with boost you want less compression. So please explain how and what is different on these 3.6 pentastar engines?
    But you guys use a centrifical super charger those make more boost, so wouldn't you need less compression other wise you are prone to knock and will have to run say 5-6psi?

    Will using this supercharger increase the amount of weight a manual transmission gladiator can tow?

      It will tow the weight better, but weight restrictions are based on chassis and not power.

    Can you guys do a dyno run in 4wd? I’m curious to see how much more Powertrain loss there is with the front axle engaged

      RIPP Superchargers 🤔really I’ve run my Jeep at highway speeds in 4WD plenty of times ( snowy conditions) with no issue .

      RIPP Superchargers dang so my 2008 Unlimited on 35’s and 3:73 probably is putting around 125WHP 😂😢

      @@mattmcdonough707 hmm well if we're being specific we've seen 3.8JK as low as 98whp in 35s with 3:21s the the 3:73s closer to 110. With the RIPP 220whp and 180trq. Makes it way livable.

    What is the octane requirement? I live in Colorado and 91octane is the best we can get. I’m also driving at higher altitudes all the time.

      Rick Boyett most of their tunes are 91 based and they also offer smaller pulleys to compensate for altitude boost loss

      We tune on ethanol enriched 91 octane so as not to lie to clients. It's generally available nation wide and emulates the fuel we use. Even so our tuning logic will sense knock if the fuel is weak and keep the engine safe.

    Hey Ripp, I know this may sound stupid lol but is there any way to do a more conservative 87 Oct tune while running the supercharger kit?

      Nope, with the compression the 87oct is super weak. You would end up using more weak fuel and getting worse gas mileage. The 91up will get better MPG when driven respectfully.

    11.3:1 compression is too high for boost for any kind of longevity. If towing, I’d really be concerned, I would love a reply please as I am seriously interested in buying one to match the one I currently own on my LJ Stretchy.

      Hello, no other manufacturer has done more real-world testing than RIPP. We've done over 33k miles of accelerated testing on one vehicle and another 30k collective miles on 3 others through the last 15mnth. We have found that 370whp is safe on 91oct fuel. This particular vehicle just completed a 400mile round trip towing 5500lbs boat and gear with no issues and then went on to two 3000 miles to the offroad expo. It will continue to tow a small trailer with our gear in it for our road show. We are very confident in our package at this point and feel we've done everything in our power to rest prior to launching. We did not rush to market instead took our time and developed the kit. With over 8000 JK Supercharger kits on the market we had our own big shows to fill.

      @@RIPPMODS The problem is that the places a lot of us take our Jeeps, it's IMPOSSIBLE to get 91 octane gas. Earlier this year, we couldnt find but 85 octane over 3 fuel stops. If you are just going to drive in the city, great, but if you use your Jeep. It is a problem.

      You absolutely need an intercooler on a supercharger. Yes we've done two major tow tests 1) 5500lbs for 370miles and a long term 2000lbs overland camper for 11000 miles. Both excellent results and performance.

      @@zelenizub2036 compressed air is hot either way, however it is much hotter in a turbo since its exhaust driven. But cooler denser air is beneficial to making consistent power, especially when towing 👍

      Hi - the 3.6 does not have a conventional header, it has a momo-port head - all you need is a cat-back exhaust, this will be a 2020 item for us.

      RIPP Superchargers I already got magnaflow crawler exhaust. Love it so far, but wanted to also get proper headers. Gladiator lacks a little power. Mind you I’m not saying it’s not a fun car. By far it’s one of my favourite cars to drive, just lacks power is my 1 complain.

    What is the difference between a RIPP supercharger and Procharger? Maybe I'm wrong but it seems they both work off the same principle of using engine rpm to boost incoming air pressure via a belt and pulley on the engine powering a turbine to create the increased air volume into the intake. Is there an advantage to RIPP over Procharger?

      RIPP has sold over 8000kits worldwide for Jeep Wranglers with less than a .1% fail rate across all conditions and years and drivetrains. Earning its place as the number one selling supercharger for Jeep Wranglers and trusted across all borders as a power adder. From a sheer technical standpoint the V3-Si Trim compressor used in our system is by far more efficient than the unit our competitors are using requiring much less RPM to turn and make power with, this translates to more power with less energy loss and better fuel efficiency. Lastly by way of application they have choosen to relocate the sensitive alternator lower in the engine bay making it susceptible to failure and complicating the installation. This process also locks out the ability to add a power steering pump in the future for hardcore off roaders and clients looking to run 40+ tires that will need that pump. Conversely our system is easier to install, has less impact on the engine bay and is very lending to other aftermarket offroad parts.

      So the concept is basically the same but the RIPP system is better engineered and more thought and attention has been put into the execution on a vehicle-to-vehicle basis. Pretty much what I assumed really, I'm really looking forward to when the kit for the Ram1500 pentastar become available in Canada. Great videos, very informative

The real benefit here is we live with our products, we own and drive each kit which is why we take a little more time to get to market.

    Not that it matters but that’s not a Launch Addition, a Launch Addition has every option. This JT doesn’t have a camera, steel bumpers and the blackout special wheels. Love the extra HP. that would be helpful when I pull a dump trailer with my JT Launch Addition.

      You are correct it was a slip up. The extra power to tow is really handy, the compressor delivers power very predictably and light enough not to worry but consistent enough to make it useful. Very natural power.

      Reliability is very important to us, in fact we've done nearly 30000 miles of testing on one vehicle this year and have learned alot about this engine. This includes towing long distances at high elevation. Its important to remember that a centrifugal supercharger acts much more like a light pressure turbo most of the time and it's not banging the engine with boost all the time and not over boosting any time. The power levels we are releasing are very safe and steer away from engine failure.

    So far they aren't reliable, they have many problems. Can you guys fix all the problems and make them reliable, and give a really good warranty on the products, please???

      RIPP, in an effort to be very thorough has not launched its JL/JT products at this time. In fact we have several testers honestly went through trials for us is various climates. Collectively RIPP has completed 77000 miles over 4 vehicles with one completing over 33000 alone across the country towing offroad equipment on 40in tires. We are just starting to roll product out now and feel the product is as good if not better than our JK products which has sold over 8000 units.
      However, we do agree with you, our competitors have been first to market and rushed to market and they did have serious problems. We chose the more productive route and used our time to develop properly and launch a near perfect kit.

    So how do you get around detonation issues when boosting a high compression engine. 11.6:1 is to much compression to boost more than 4psi with pump gas. Even then that’s pushing it at low rpm. Also is it Ca legal? 100hp gain? Bullshit! That’s 10 plus psi boost. No way that engine will hold up to this long term.

      We don't have any detonation issues - Consider we've spent the past 20 year supercharging high-compression V6 engines - Tuning is the signal most important factor and RIPP was the first ones to crack the tuning in all 3 generations of Jeep Wrangler JK. With the JL program we've tested for 37000 miles on one vehicle last year and soft launched 20 systems for extended data to make sure we were solid. With the JL/JT program we didn't want to be first to market but rather best to market.

      RIPP Superchargers Been working with boosted engines for years and no one would boost 11.6:1 compression without at the lease water meth injection or 100 octane. Just my opinion and what do I know. But after a google search I can see the issues are almost all the same. Every company selling a kit like this weather it be a turbo or sc have nothing but issues. I have no doubt back when the Jeep engines were lower in compression you had a product that could last for years but not any more. You risk heat associated detonations, low rpm detonations, blow by...... no amount of tuning can fix these risks. Only better fuel or water injection. Not to mention voiding the warrantee.

      @@hill160881 It's 11.3:1 compression not 11.6:1. We've been in business for 30 years and have been turbocharging and supercharging a huge variety of small displacement engines. Respectfully, we've sold over 8000 kits worldwide with the 10.2:1 Compression 2012-2018 Wrangler engine which is also found in the V6 cars (which we also supercharge). Those clients run 15psi without meth which arguably is the same as 9psi in an 11:1. Lastly, we've done 37000 miles of real world testing on the 11.3 version and then stripped down the engine to make sure it did not stress internal components and prematurely ware it's assemblies. With respect to this engine and it's functionality we believe we are in the best position to determine what factually can and cannot be done here. And while we respect and appreciate a fellow enthusiast, this vehicle and engine group is our life's work and therefore we are very cautious with our clients. No other manufacture has tested this platform and extensively as we have.

    Your dyno chart says you took that Jeep to 6200 rpm but it definitely didn’t sound like it? Still running that out dated dyno dynamics software I see...smh

      77000 miles complete would say this is not an issues, we have been diligent with our testing.
