Still doing a lot of major bodywork on the Volvo 240 so we can make it into a pickup truck. In this video we work on the fenders and the windshield among other things.
Don't let the welding get to you, it can always be ground off and rewelded. Yeah, be careful around the glass. The main thing is you're having fun, enjoy. You're taking the fenders off because they'll be easier to paint like that??? I did say to have fun, I think you already are! 😆😄🤣🤪🥴😛😋
Hey guys I'm just finding this video. I'm a huge fan of two door wagons, and kind of a minor fan of Volvos, I think a two door, door would have worked out better if you know what I mean, but that's just me, really enjoy the build, thanks.
Evan, This is such a cool build. Are you going to keep it looking like stock or raise it maybe 2"-3" inches with mud tires and light bar...kinda like a Swedish BRAT?
We need to do a little bit of fabrication to make a frame, and then we are going to use polycarbonate for the window itself. It's taking some effort to work out. We really want to have a rear window instead of just covering it with sheet metal.
We considered that, as we do have a 244 parts car. However, since we originally used a wagon for this build, the geometry is a little different and we are going to have to build a custom window. The thing that we've found with this project is that everything doesn't just "fit" together really simply. A lot of adjustments and sheet metal work are necessary if we want it to look good. That's why it's taking some time and several videos to complete. We are getting close though.
You guys have a good funny chemistry going on! Who doesn't like bustin' stuff?
you guys are freaking boss, god bless you
That's exactly how the Safelite guy tool my windshield out. Right down to the part where you drug it across the hood. LOL
Nice job from Brazil bro

Did you guys have a specific color in mind?
We are thinking Swedish Racing Green or something close to that.
Leave your camera on the stand
What are you guys gonna do about the small side windows?

Clapped Out Garage cool. I’m loving this build.
would a rear sedan side window work??
