I was there with my granddaughter in the front row. There are shots of us. What a great memory for us. It was absolutely amazing. A fan crowd of over 5,000 at the Christmas concert in Mankato, Minnesota December, 2022. Thanks!
I saw them this weekend in Manchester and they beat my expectations by far, I’ve followed them for years and this was the first chance I’ve had to see them live it was one of the best party’s I’ve ever been to.
Hi DramaSyde. Its so great to see you and your smile. This is a super video…I love the professionally recorded live videos, both for the quality of the sound and fantastic camera work. Speaking of Adam and his looper…Home Free live-streamed their concert from London on Sunday and Adam’s drum solo was spot on! The first half he used the looper and puts together a whole techno-drum number. Then he does the “One man, one microphone” portion. It was amazing.
I'm so glad I finally got to see HF live. They are so steady. It was really that great! Even better than I thought. The first time but certainly not the last.
Glad to have ya back reacting! Missed you! Man you have a lot of home free to catch up on. I have been to 4 live performances and do not regret it. You will love it!
❤ I really enjoy your reactions. You do it your way. I love everything about HomeFree. You and I have a Winston-Salem connection. I did my nurses training there at Forsyth Hospital. I'm much older than you. I graduated in 1974, worked for more than 45yrs as an RN.
They just livestreamed their London show, and the first three songs of it are out there for free. Fishing in the Dark/Down in the Boondocks, Road Sweet Road, and Elvira.
I went to see them in Manchester, England a couple of days ago. It was the second last show on their European tour and they must have been exhausted but the quality of their performance was absolutely exceptional. They left it all out there on the stage for us. It was without doubt the best show I have seen! They truly sound just as good live as on their studio recordings!
I've missed the side of fries 🍟 😊 yeah, I'm super ok with Adam using a looper ❤ it's still him making the sounds. Hope you get to see them in concert ❤
On this one, the looper is just repeating the kick drum sound from the fist punches at the beginning, and he makes the other percussion sounds into the mic. He goes back to increase the temp for each song, freeing him up to go nuts with the castanet sounds in “Santiana”. I approve.
They performed this one live when they came to Morgantown. The crowd went insane. It was not one of my favorite home free songs until seeing it live. I have a whole new appreciation for it now.
Thank you for that on the looper. It’s still his voice…just recording it. No other effects. I agree work smarter not harder. Love them and they’re so good live. Good reaction Mike!!!🥰😄
OMG! I'm so happy to see you back! You look great! This was an epic concert in Mankato,MN, last December ! Have you reacted to Chance's latest sea shanty? The guys did a shanty for ubisoft's game Skull and Bones!
That's why they have such a following because they are who they are and their shows are great, some are not as big as this one in audience (and occasionally, some are bigger), but they put out a lot of energy and also get their audience involved and it's always a great show. This medley they did went viral and a gaming company Ubisoft got in contact and wanted them to do a song for their new game (Not sure if the game has been released yet) called "Skull And Bones". Chance wrote the song for the game and they sang it at Ubisoft live, and the song is in the game. Pretty cool.
This concert was so much fun. The atmosphere was absolutely electric. AND we got to see it twice because they wanted to make sure they had enough good camera footage.
I saw them in Atlanta in a small venue. Awesome. Was only 6 feet from the stage this is what they really sound like, could hear their voices before the mike.
There are live videos where you can see them live looping songs where Adam is not the only one layering, they do both Man of Constant Sorrow and Castle in the Hill that way
We need them to give us more videos like this! So much fun! I saw a video of Adam using the looper on their latest tour and he is having so much fun with it. I also saw a video from an audience member who was very close to the stage and Rob and I he sounds so good!!!
100% !!! I have seen 'em LIVE ... well, because I had to --- and then at that time, they hadn't used a looper, it was straight-up .................. and so damn good!!!! I don't question it because I know 1st hand of their awesomeness!!! : ) Be Safe
Home Free’s library of songs/productions both covers and originals and include a vast array of genres has become incredible. It is just plain fun to review and realize their gifts and talents are over the top extraordinary. This group can simply stand tall amongst the industry vocalist peers (groups and gifted vocalists). They bring about an excitement intrigue wondering what they will produce for us today, near future and the years to come. They are not bound by a particular genre and whatever they produce you know it is going to be quality. Home Free produces at a high level of integrity and always amazing the interpretation both vocally and visually with their video presentation. Every individual in their vocal group is significant top-notch performer and each draws out the very best in each other. I always look with anticipation to their next release. Thank you Home Free!!! ❣Thank you DramaSyd for another strong reaction!!!! 💟
Wasn't that great! Finally a professional live recording! This is one of my favorite medleys. Fan recordings on their phones can never clearly capture the true sound. So glad Home Free did this.
Saw them live on their European Tour in the Netherlands last week and I can tell ya, we went ballistic when they sang this! It was f*cking incredible!! As was the live performance of Skull & Bones, and all of the songs really. If you only go to one more concert in your lifetime, go to a Home Free concert!!!
Love these guys very much! I really hope you get a chance to see them live! It is definitely an experience you will never forget! If you’re like most of the rest of us Home Fries, you will want to see them again and again. I have missed your reactions, Michael! It’s great to see you back!
I love the live videos! This one was professionally done but even given the varying audio/video qualities of the fancam videos, I think they're even better than the studio ones. The energy of the performance & the enthusiasm of the audience is infectious. Of course the singing, harmonies & beatboxing are terrific - they always are! Thanks for playing this & your comments.
I saw them on Sunday for their final EU show and final show of their covid catchup! They sang this as one of the last songs of their setlist and it's so good live. The vocals blend so well and you really do feel Tim's bass through the floors and walls.
The energy from this huge audience is overwhelming! What a force it’s bringing to Home Free’s already strong sea shanty! Wish I were there. I have no problem with Adam's looper, especially when it lets him give us some castanets at the same time. Can you imagine the sore throat he could get after two hours on stage? Love your reaction. HF is special.
So glad you are back!! You will actually love seeing them live. They are one of the best. Missed your take on things and your facial expressions always makes me smile
Love that you are doing HF again. They have put out some good stuff. Their song they did for a video game you should check out the lyric and live version of Skull And Bones. Chance wrote it for the video game and it's amazing. Great reaction as always.
So good to see you back checking out more HF. The guys just wrapped up a few weeks in Europe after their previous tour was suddenly cut short during the early days of the pandemic. Adam did an interview with a German channel(?) and mentioned they're busy working on two new albums. More songs, more videos! Their creativity knows no bounds. Curious to see what they have in store for us fans. 😊
Yay your back !! You shaved looks good😊 Home Free has released quite a lot of videos lately mostly originals Here’s on I think you’ll like After hearing Home Free’s Sea Shanty Melody people at Ubisoft approached them with a great opportunity to write a shanty for Skull And Bones a video game they are releasing soon.Which Chance did write a Lyric video called Skull And Bones.Chance has a love for sea shanties and anything to do with the sea also gaming so it was perfect for him. They also sang a shorter version at Ubisoft Live Premiere. It’s beyond epic. A lot of reactors do both the lyric and live in the same reaction because the live is much shorter and you get to see who is doing what.
Glad to see you back. I missed you. I love everything Home Free does, but I love the energy of the sea shanties too. Edit: I am happy for them to use a looper. It frees Adam Rupp to do even more of his special magic, maybe even sing for us.
I'm not a good multitasker at all, so just the thought of Adam controlling the loopers while maintaining the live sounds during the song blows my mind! 🤯 Although they cut it out of this live video, at the concerts you get to watch them build the sounds for the loopers at the beginning. Like in "Man of Constant Sorrow", when Chance does the throat singing for his mouth harp and Adam does the drumming so he can loop it while he's playing his "no-monica", etc. They also use it for Austin & Rob doing the "na na nas" in "Castle on the Hill". In this one, it's obvious that Adam can't physically do 2 or 3 things at once (no matter how great he is! lol), so he controls the looper for the background beat while he does the toms, the waves crashing against the ship, and those amazing double/triple-tonguing castanets!! 😳🤯 Sheesh! DramaSyde, you've GOT TO WATCH one of their latest from the *So Long Dixie* album!! It's an Austin original called "Playing With Fire" and I'm telling you, it's HOT! 🔥 You'll love it!
HF are just flat out fantastic. It’s rare that I hear anything from them that is not first class. They are the leaders coming around the clubhouse turn in a very crowded field of Acapella talent.
I have seen HF 5 times over 4 different states and can tell you that they sound just this good. It does my heart good to see them drawing such a large audience, but selfishly, I miss the smaller, more intimate venues when I see them.
For those of us that have seen HF live (me-6x) know they are THE REAL DEAL all 5 of them. Tho I go to see Austin 🥰 They are the most down to earth, nicest & most talented group of guys you will ever see. Will blow your mind. Hope you get to check them out live SYDFRY ❤ 🙏 Check out HF “Playing with Fire” Thanks #AustinFryAlways
This time last week I was getting ready for my first live Home Free concert. It was absolutely fantastic. Until you've seen them live - and in particular until you've seen Adam Rupp live - you just don't realise how talented they all are. They were on stage for 90 minutes with one short break and I loved every minute. Hope you get to see them soon.
There is a couple of audience cams of the first few times they did “Castle On the Hill”, with Adam sitting downstage front and center. Tim explains to the audience how they use it. It’s just a tool. Like mics, and amplifiers and speakers and subwoofers. I’m ok with it. It seemed that by the end of the London concert, even with an interval, they were getting tired. I’d happily have a few more tools, just to get a few more songs at a concert.
Adam is using the double looper in his solo creating the song ORA by Saro from scratch. Very interesting! There are fan recorded videos out there, but so far no official video. Thanks for reacting to this live performance!
Looper... yes
And like so many of your other genre choices-i love watching you discover and enjoy all parts of the music
I think that was the largest audience I have ever seen at any concert they have done.
i
NIce to see you back with our guys!! More please!! Thanks for the reaction!
Missed you!!!! Glad to see you back with Home Free.
I was there with my granddaughter in the front row. There are shots of us. What a great memory for us. It was absolutely amazing. A fan crowd of over 5,000 at the Christmas concert in Mankato, Minnesota December, 2022. Thanks!

Mike, they are so much fun to see live & in person. You'll have a blast

I’ve only watched the live stream on repeat 3 times. LOL
Glad to see you back, Love Home Free ❤
I'm so glad I finally got to see HF live. They are so steady.
It was really that great! Even better than I thought. The first time but certainly not the last.
Good to see you again! Home Free is nothing but the Troof!!!
Glad to have ya back reacting! Missed you! Man you have a lot of home free to catch up on. I have been to 4 live performances and do not regret it. You will love it!
Glad to see you back. You know sometimes you sound like James Earl Jones.
Lol I’ve heard that before
❤ I really enjoy your reactions. You do it your way. I love everything about HomeFree. You and I have a Winston-Salem connection. I did my nurses training there at Forsyth Hospital. I'm much older than you. I graduated in 1974, worked for more than 45yrs as an RN.

I live these boys!! Really appreciate your reactions to them!!! ❤
They have a couple more So Long Dixie concerts in the US this month. Then the Christmas tour dates starting in late November.
So fabulous LIVE
I like it when the troof is told! I love your reactions and analysis that go beyond the superficial. Keep up the great work!
Saw them live, still recovering, and NO lies detected! 😉❤
I went to see them in Manchester, England a couple of days ago. I saw them live in Utrecht they were awesom ❤
They performed this one live when they came to Morgantown. The crowd went insane. It was not one of my favorite home free songs until seeing it live. I have a whole new appreciation for it now.
Their live performances sound so close to their videos
Loved your reaction and break down you get it just hope they release more of this type of video of other live performances.
Thank you for that on the looper. It’s still his voice…just recording it. No other effects. I agree work smarter not harder. Love them and they’re so good live. Good reaction Mike!!!🥰😄
I'm not a real Sea Shanty fan, but Home Free is an exception. Their harmonies and arrangements can sell me any musical genre.
I'm seeing them live for the 1st time the 14th!!! I'm sooooo excited
OMG! I'm so happy to see you back! You look great! This was an epic concert in Mankato,MN, last December ! Have you reacted to Chance's latest sea shanty? The guys did a shanty for ubisoft's game Skull and Bones!
Mike, you’re an aide of spicy fries! Great analysis from someone who knows the business.
So glad you're back ... happy to see your smiling face ! You've got some catching up to do for Home Free ... they've been on a roll LOL !
I am so glad to see you do this reaction. I missed your face!😃
I would love to see these guys live, it looks like it would be an amazing time!

Was there. Filmed in Mankato MN last December. The audience went crazy when they announced they were recording a live video. Was so fun!!!
I've missed your reactions! As usual, I'm right there with you. I love some of the others, but truly, Home Free is the top of the pyramid.
Thanks for your reaction!
The love and energy is incredible!! Thanks Michael!! Been waiting a while for a HF reaction!!

Home Free premiered their live performance of Skull and Bones on their European tour, I believe in Oslo, Norway.
They sounded so good and the crowd was amazing! ❤

Great reaction, DramaSyd. I always enjoy your intelligent critique and comments.
You already know how much I love Home Free. 😂. They are amazing. Seeing them live is fantastic. They do a hell of a show. They are very funny as well.
This is so very awesome! Home Free are the best! Love your reaction!

Play usually does start the video! Lol. Love your reactions!
Check out Mortiorius! He was at the concert in Albany Oregon! Oh, he was blown away!

He does a really cool demo with the looper during the show. It’s very cool.
so glad you're back

Thanks for reacting to this live performance!
I have missed you lately. My fault, not yours. Glad to spend some time with you.
That was for the ignorant who say they can't do it live. You can't hide when it's live. Take care all.
Didja see the sea shanty Adam Chance wrote for the new video game? Skull and Bones. Good stuff.
You are so cool
when you get to go be sure to purchase the vip package not the q/a package.
But phone videos are horrible……these guys are unbelievable!!
They are disgrosting. The end. 😂❤❤❤❤❤🥰🫠
👍👍👍💕🇸🇪😎
