Thanks for this video! I just did my rear brakes on the 2004 F-150 due to a chewed up rotor, and the light didn't go out. I will check the dash cluster like you showed us and check if it is the issue. I always thought it was a bad switch for the E-brake, because the light stayed on intermittently, but this looks more promising. Thanks again.
I don't know how it happened!! But I just removed the lid and moved the plugs a little and it's good! Like magic and tomorrow I have an appointment with emissions 😅 so! Thanks a lot ❤
There are two things you absolutely do. First, suck the solder off the connector's pins on the circuit board and add fresh solder with a good quality flux. Second, solder both ends of the bigger black resistors. They have numbers written on top, usually 151 or 820. Those that are mainly on the upper left quadrant are suspect but look for all the big ones and solder both tab ends. Don't worry about other parts. Those ends frequently have cracks in the solder. You must have a temperature controlled soldering pencil and quality flux. Anything else any you can destroy a lot of parts. If you don't have the right soldering equipment take it to one of your qualified tech friends. job done.
Fixed my brake light staying on and flickering and my burned out cluster airbag light causing my truck to do 5 beep la 5 times all at once, air bag light started working and brake light went off! Thanks
I was watching the video from 2020 about the 2004 Ford f150 brake light issue and I don't see a second video on how to fix it. Did you not make a second video for it?
Mine goes on then goes off for over a month. It’s happen twice now where randomly my truck got really rough. Started thumping as if I had a flat tire or something but I didn’t. Yesterday after I got home there was smoke coming out from the driver wheel well. Any idea what that could be?
@@gqautodiagnostics I filled it to the line and I noticed there was a sensor that was connected to the front of the brake fluid but there wasn’t a click on for the others end so it’s just dangling
@@gqautodiagnostics I’m driving long distance on an expressway right now in a 2004 F150 not even using my brakes in the ABS light just came on what do you think that could be

Did you make a second video fixing the cluster? Was it a ground issue or poor solder? Searched your videos didn't find part two... Thank you!
It's the solder on that connector. Did a touch up on my truck and fixed the problem
MY TRUCK BRAKE LITE is on i will do this, thanks.
nice. Going to try this tomorrow. Just replaced my ebrake shoes and it hasn't gone off. Hopefully it isn't crossed wires.

Break Caliper is sticking sounds like. It'll cause the truck to thump, and jerk.
I just removed the connectors , sprayed them with electronics cleaner Problem fixed that was 6 months still ok
Good communication
Thank you for taking the time to post your comment. Have a great day and God bless you 🙏

You never made the other video did you?
Hello is there a video number 2?
Hello, thank you for posting your question. No there is not a part 2 of this video.
You never did make a Follow Up video on how to fix that connection.

Check the brake fluid level

What about the abs light
Hello thank you for commenting. But I do not understand your question.
What about the abs light?

@@kjkj6362 only the abs light or the red brake light too?
@@gqautodiagnostics only abs light. I turned truck off and back on and now it’s offf. Brake fluid looks low, I will add fluid
@@kjkj6362 hello. Did you added brake fluid to the master cylinder? Did it help?
This is way too common. Smh
