  • Welcome to Training Tuesday for April 16, 2024. I am showing you three training sessions with four snakes this week. First, my cohabbed pair of Inland Carpet Pythons, Vagonbrei and Castiana, shift out of their habitat each following their own target. I move Vagonbrei to a different location to finish his meal once he is out and Castiana put herself back in her enclsoure when she finished eating. Later, when Vagonbrei had eaten and explored for a while, I carried him back to his enclosure.
Next, I work with two of my Liasis, Flox the Dunn's Python and Shran the Macklot's Python. They both are learning the same behavior and are at the same stage in their training, just learning to come to the door and bring their head out.
I was going to show you a training session with Andromeda, one of my brilliant Bredl's Pythons; however, she shifted herself out before I even got back to start the session, basically doing the exact behavior I was going to ask her to do in the first place.
Thanks for watching. Contact me or comment if you have questions, or . . . consider becoming a Patron for more group and private learning opportunities and extra educational content about animal training adn behavior.

excellent video, target training definitely seemed to come in handy for cohabbed pairs. Super cool how they each go to their own targets.

Great to see you showcasing the Liasis genus as well. The reactiveness of the macklotti is what I have experienced with one of my savus, although another one is really quite a bit calmer.
