  • Welcome to Serpentes Sunday for June 23, 2024. This week I am revisiting perch-building as I demonstrate four (4) different methods I routinely use to install perches in my snakes' enclosures.
    1. Using a hole saw to make holes the PVC pipe can fit through on two sides of the enclosure and then capping the ends on the exterior of the enclosure with PVC end caps.
    2. Using PVC end caps with eye hooks in them to hang perches with zip ties, twisty ties, or string, through small holes drilled into the side of the enclosure.
    3. Using PVC end caps with eye hooks in them to hang perches via adhesive hooks to the insides of the enclosure.
    4. Using commercially manufactured perch holders.
I also discuss a fifth (5th) option which is the use of magnetic perch holders that are available commercially. I used to use these and don't any longer due to safety issue with the magnets that I discuss in the video.
