    Wow, great quality and amazing attitude. Also the topic is the one I needed.
    I am only beginning to learn and have memorized around 200 hanzi. I already face characters like 第 and 笑 and I was memorizing them by their most distinctive feature of "kk", so I obviously confused them one with the other.
    So there are way more hanzi with "kk". God help me.

    Is nice to see new Chinese words can be like English. To pronunciation, writing in rung of Chinese characters. This will help more people understand. The Chinese haven’t changed to better use

    The radicals are good to know , but also common phonetic components are good to study up on because then you can start to guess the sound of the word .

    This lesson is superb. Much more fun and more memorable than the san dinar shui and si dinar di parts in my Chinese classes. One minor problem, I noticed that your captions and images for lego & tetris are reversed. Excellent video, thanks!!😊

      Thank you so much for your thoughtful comments! Yes, I always feel that learning is like traveling from one place to another. There’s always a way to design a better route (with more beautiful scenery along the way) and to choose a better means of transportation to reach the destination. If such a way doesn’t already exist, I’m more than willing to spend the time designing a new mode of transportation myself. Just like in this video, I hope to help people learn Chinese characters from a fresh perspective.
      Oh!! You’re like Sherlock Holmes, haha! You’re so observant! I hadn’t noticed that mistake at all! I’ll make sure to correct those two terms and align them properly in my future videos. Haha. 🤗

      @orientalmarcopolo You flatter me with your response and with the Sherlock Holmes joke, too. 非常好! 😻😃🤗

    I guess I have been intuitively picking up on this over time, but it's so helpful to have it spelled out and see the characters more as families. I will definetly incorporate this when learning, thank you so much! (Please make more videos, I'm already excited to watch)

    Thank you Pedro.
    I love to learn Chinese language from you.
    Your method is unique.
    For us Chinese characters is not easy to learn.
    But your way is the best.
    When you dismantle a character, or simplify, and teach, as you are doing,
    many people can learn.
    Thank you again.
    Waiting for your next video.

      @@ZulkifliJamil4033-x6s 你好。
      I’m not quite sure what you’re trying to express.
      “洪” means flood. If there has recently been a flood in London, you could say in Chinese, ”最近,伦敦发了洪水。“

  • @meieisenbach4606

    Doesn't 熊 mean "bear"? I also see colloquial usage meaning "to scold".

    • @orientalmarcopolo
      @orientalmarcopolo  Місяць тому +1

      Yes, that's a very good point!
      This is a phenomenon called "homonyms."
      Just like in English:
      "Bat" can refer to an animal (a bat).
      "Bat" can also refer to the stick used in baseball or cricket (a bat).
      Here, "熊" can mean "bear," but it can also refer to "a raging fire," such as in the expression "熊熊大火" (a blazing fire), just as the example I mentioned in my video. 😃

    • @orientalmarcopolo
      @orientalmarcopolo  Місяць тому

      In order to ensure that the knowledge in one single video is conveyed concisely, elegantly, and systematically, I did not expand on that topic in this video. For beginners, too much elaboration would clearly lead to confusion and is unnecessary.
      In the future, I will explain the phenomenon of "homonyms" in detail in a separate video. 😉

  • @Фан_И
    @Фан_И 3 дні тому +1

    I thought the four-dotted radical means fire🤔

    • @orientalmarcopolo
      @orientalmarcopolo  3 дні тому +1

      Yes, it can also be understood this way. 「灬」roughly refers to the process of boiling water by heating it with fire.
      Therefore, you can say that it is related to "fire," or you can consider it to be associated with "boiling water."
