The one feature for making it useful for theater would be interpolation / fading between scenes ! Please please please ! It would be so cool. Many many people have been missing this from x32 or m32 for low budget theater shows !
Hi, oh yes there are still 3 important missing Things, that is missing for now, so as a feature request, 1. when I look at the console from a monitor engineer. First of all, I go to the SOF by adding them to the Custom Button section. Here lets say I have now 8 SOF Channels. Lets say when I press button 1 (the desk will go in SOF mode, an select BUS 1 (thats how i programmed the custom button) the second button BUS 2 and so on. Now the monitor engineer has all the time the headphones on. So it is very important for him when he want to Change a mix, that this mix appears in the headphones, so he can listen what he is doing. So it should be possible (Maybe as an Option in Setup, or as a function of macro in custom section) that on Pressing the Button 1 in the custom button bank, and putting the console in "SOF state BUS1" that the SOLO also jumps directly to this BUS1. So activating SOF in a BUS brings directly the MIX in your ears, without going in this layout and push the SOLO button. Here must be an Option like SOLO follows SOF BUS MIX. 2. Thing: The custom pages, there are now 16 of them, but when you want to do Maybe 5 equal with a minor Change Maybe (just 1 button) then you have to Programm all those 5 pages one bye one. Here it would be very very nice, to have a copy function, to copy the custom page 1 to 2 or to 3.. and then do the minor changes in the page. 3. Thing, as I already wrote in Facebook Wing User Group and there a lot of People who wants that: Is it possible to add a SOLO (or PRE-LISTEN) button in the Routing Pages (Input Section). So that you can pre listen in a source, before you add it to a channel, to quickly very quickly find the Right source when you don't know the soure names. Here as an example a recording on the pc will come in to USB but you haven't a sheet what Instrument is on wich source, so with the solo you can quickly hear directly the Input Signal, an then Name it, Color it and so on, and finally route it to a channel. I love my Wing and the update looks great. Really need a multi-band compressor. Combinator like on the x32 would be ok, but something a little more visual utilizing the touch display would be awesome. RTA and graphic representation so we can see and hear it.
I agree, it's the most used fx rack slot on the x32. There single band dynamic eq they just added is a step in the right direction but multiband compression/expansion or dynamic eq is really important.
This looks promising. I ordered the wing in September 2021 and get it eventually in March next year. This is only a rough estimation. Nobody can give you valid info. I‘m not amused.
A few questions about the DCA section for you. Is there any way to rename DCA faders? Every other fader can be renamed? Also I'm not able to assign colors to the scribble strip LED's for DCA's like I can for all other Inputs and outputs. And finally this console now comes w 16 DCA groups (which is an awesome improvement) but the only way I see to access DCA 9-16 is via a user page as opposed to the forward / back buttons in the Center section typically used to scroll for more info... for instance Bus groups typically display bus 1-8... to get to bus 9-16 you use the arrow scroll up/down buttons etc. DCA's 9-16 can not be accessed this way which is a big miss IMO as is the inability to rename and color the DCA's / DCA LED strip. Can I please suggest a software revision update for these 3 needed features. LOVE THE DESK GREAT JOB !!!
Really need a more ch's for user group. With 48 usb and 64 sd tracks, we need more than 24 user ch's to apply to them. With a 32 track recording for instance we can only get post ch processing on 24 of them! Love the mixer and the progress so far!
@Behringer: When can we expect DAW functionality enabled. It has been 2 months since the last firmware update. (2:49) Many users feel that this issue seems to be ignored. Can you please let us know what progress has been made and also an ETA. Thanks in advance!
With regards to buss output capabilities, say for instance you are using the board as main/mon console can you use the 8 outs on the console plus the 16 out on a stage box independent of each other? Also are there any thoughts of making this console push 96kHZ? Would love to see a video on DAW integration and the amount of faders also output bussing capabilities.
Looks good! 1. The usb audio playback looks good. Could these to triggered by a button? So it can be used in simple theatre playback, like @ simplified QLab? 2. I second the request for a theatre/recall safe video. 3. Spill sets/control group/vca spills would be great! Assigning faders to a group. Have that group spill across the desk? To save faders on larger channel count shows?
As it seems now channel inserts can only be routed to internal FX slots which then can be switched to use IOs instead of internal FX processing. That might be ok now, but it sure as heck won‘t be good enough for use with Waves. Please change the inserts to allow routing directly to any IOs. Oh, also, can Wing control the preamps of a X32 Rack like an X32 can?

Will there be an option to buy Wing with that card pre-installed? And after all, where can i find and configure channel direct out?
You know what wold be the killer feature? Support keyboard and mouse for navigation and input... I mean it's just another endpoint with very small overhead :P

One thing I’d love to see is a Cue/Solo fader option; possibly added into the master fader section. Using the Headphone knob while mixing monitors would be an absolute pain and is a big deal breaker in my opinion.
Ever since we did the firmware update we been having issues of sources changing on input and outputs. Volume changing or muting on channels without anyone.touching anything. Also effects eq switch on and off on their own. Unexpected..
PLEASE PLEASE add more ch's to the user ch group (to at least 32) and/or another way to add tap points to both the usb and w-Live routing. such that we can access full ch processing for our recordings. Thanks for the great console and all the work so far!
And also Maybe a feature request will be the multiband compressor (something like the combinator of the x32) is this in planning? (Insert Maybe as fx when it is too much dsp hungry) or in the channel workflow (but for that I think 40x multiband comp would overload the dsp). And probably for those who begin there Sound engineer's life, an Emulation of your Feedback destroyer Hardware can help those People a lot :) (Also as en Fx) I have lot of more ideas but enough for now, take all care of you, you guys are amazing !!! Hi, unfortunately, the last update appears to have a few glitches some more consequential than others. For example, when routing channels, sometimes the channel auto changes on its own to a channel I did not choose once the routing page is up on the screen. Another example is once the metering is active on screen the mixer automatically switches to the View channel screen on the middle Bank of fader changing from the selected screen, e.g. from viewing DCA . When can we expect another update with a fix for these glitches plus others?
Something not very urgent, but important for those who use it often in theater maybe. is there a way that behringer gives us a sheet, documention, or a video, of the functions of the recall safe options in the snapshot library page. Its very hard to find out what exactly is behind the buttons. As example : sfc means surface but what is all hidden behind this, only custom button pages or also mute groupes or maybe play options of the recorder, talkback settings? same for the little button „input“ , what exactly is programmed to this?, delay? 48v? Its very hard to figure out all without oversee something . Because we dont see the code behind this. It would be great to give us a listing of all of those options? Thx

@@behringer We were talking about the iPad app ( X32-Mix) that still has version 3.1 and was last updated 2 years ago. It kind of works with the new firmware, but is unstable with current iOS and sadly doesn't support all the great new features of the X32. It would be great to use the full potential of the X32 via the app!
And Maybe in a later state a second Metering page on the Copilot App wich Shows the Inputs with the gain reducation of compressors, and the gate state (Similar like on the X32 meter page in X/M App ) Thanks
I have a rather large issue with the wing and it is that although it has the capability to record 32 channels on the SD cards when Im done recording and stick the card on my computer there is only one wav file showing and can't be read by any PC. On the mixer works fine some how the mixer is able to play back separate channels from that one audio file but on the computer I don't get separate tracks recorded. Please fix this. The ui24 from soundcraft is able to do this beautifully.
Hi Fuego, WING records a multitrack WAV file that contains all tracks. If the file gets bigger than 4GB (~11 minutes) the recording will be split up into multiple files. Some DAWs can import multitrack WAV directly, you could use Audacity to split it or simply play it back on WING and record all tracks in you DAW over USB. We are also working on a small converter tool that can convert the files from/to multitrack WAV but this will come out late this year.
@@behringer thanks for you quick response. I just loaded the wav file into audition and it does show all the channels. I was able to export each individual track. Nice to know there is a workaround. But I personally prefer each channel record to its own track and the track naming receives the name of the channel. This makes the organization and work flow more efficient and requieres less steps. Thank you hopefully we can see this improvement in the next update.

it would be great if behringer could make a second clone of sh101 with 37 keys, an effect section and a second activable vco to be duophonic! with two wave mixers and two separate outputs! a bit like the odyssey but sh101 version, for example the ms2 !!! and why not a rack version the ms2R !!! :)

Ich arbeite gerne mit subgruppen, weil ich dort z.B bei Drumspuren noch einen Limiter insertieren kann. Wenn ich nun die Subgruppe solo abhören möchte werden alle anderen auch die Channels gemutet die auf die Subgruppe gerouted sind, sodass ein Solo Abhören der Subgruppe nicht möglich ist. Ich halte dies für einen Bug. Ich würde mir eine Änderung hierzu im nächsten update sehr wünschen. P.S viele Grüße an Uli, ich mal ein Studienkollege.

ljackattack Look into Mixing Station. It‘s not free, but it‘s cheap and seems to do what you need.

How about an ADAT expansion card. For us studio guys, it would be great to add a Claret OctoPre or something similar. Anyone has any thoughts?

they dont have daw mode for the harrison mix buss
Can you sidechain the dynamic eg, like send a kick signal to have the eq duck a bass?
i dont want to use a bus to mix a delay for short queues in a live performance is that possible

Again and again, please Behringer, will you release some small AES50 or StageCONNECT stagebox or interface specifically designed for EURORACK MODULAR with multiple (48, 32 or 24) minijack ins and outs so that we can use the Wing for complex modular mixes? thank you to please respond

i have a Wing and i cant use the faders inside logic! its a huge issue when i go to mix, because i still have to use the mouse to mix
It has been released in v1.07 + (remote control DAW button with presets for Logic and others like Ableton)
be nice if the website was working
