That's the reason I have been wondering so many times to God why my name isn't Simeon. I am hurt and angry and vengeful. I'm trying to free myself of all that by reading the Bible. I am not sure if I will ever develop the capacity in me to forgive my child-molesting biological female parent. When will God take this pain out of me?

The best revenge against anyone who has wronged you is to succeed in life. It’s extremely hard but try to live a happy and successful life (whatever that means to you). It can help empower you to move forward from your past.

Forgiveness is too. When I forgave my abusive mother, I felt the weight of that on my shoulders dissipate. Who wants to walk around all bitter & hateful all the time?! You don't trust anybody! Sometimes it is better to turn the other cheek. You are right also. Success is a hell of a thing against people that have brought you down & told you you won't amount to anything!
I will always have a deep hatred for mothers (or fathers) who 1. Eat in front of their kids without feeding them and 2. Witnessing someone abusing their child and not stepping in. I hope he stays the great father figure that he wants to be and I hope that he STAYS there for his little boy. She is toxic. She does not take accountability for her actions and she’s HIGHLY manipulative. I hope that little boy recovers from this trauma. 😢

I have to give my full respect to the father for getting past his drug addiction and swapping it for an addiction to being the best dad possible. He earned a second chance cleaning himself up for his son, and he's obviously making that his main focus in life.
I agree 100%, but I also feel like he should stfu over things that happened when he was too busy getting high to give a damn about his kids. They BOTH failed those kids during that time.

I'm pregnant with my first child this story really makes me sad. However I am around kids regularly I always made sure kids eat before I do. Kids will eat before I do. 💯 I pray the dad gets full custody he sounds like he is on the right path and the mom needs some serious help

When I was growing up, and im talking 2 and 3 yrs old, we lived paycheck to paycheck. We always had food but we did eat mayo and tomato sandwiches. No matter what we had food. One thing that I'd still choose a mayo and tomato sandwich over is any kind of spaghetti-os or any kind of pasta. I ate homemade spaghetti so much growing up that I hate it.
