    Remarkable results thanks for sharing. Of the many mistakes I seem to be making one mistake is always assuming that any "property" (Even a beach hut let alone a sky scraper) in the photo automatically makes the image editorial only. BTW I think the beach hut shot is iconic & just takes you there on that beach in your mind.

    • @photographybyraul
      @photographybyraul  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you Richard. Ironically when I started shooting stock I shot just about everything thinking it was commercial. My naivety awarded me many submission approvals but I also quickly learned that balancing act between what is considered editorial vs. commercial. I'm loving the beach shot more and more each day. Thanks again and best wishes! 🙂

    Professionally, this was wonderfully informative, thank you, and I'm tickled but greatly appreciate your honesty about some images being so successful. Hindsight is always perfect and it was most humble of you to share the challenges and surprises.

    Great story, could you address the resubmit process, how you resubmitted it 4 times after each rejection, what changes you might have made or not. I find it funny that a clip may be declined on one site but approved on others. Thanks for sharing.

    • @photographybyraul
      @photographybyraul  3 роки тому

      Great question. Absolutely no changes were made to the image. I knew it was going to be a best seller so I just kept submitting until someone with half a brain accepted! You have to believe in your work and hope the reviewers share your vision. The agency review process is subjective when you remove all the technical requirements. If you pass all the technical requirements the reviewer must decide if the image will sell. Unfortunately that’s when the subjectivity can ultimately decide the fate of your submittal. And hope you’ve subscribed! 😊
