@@nelsoncasanova3435 Hello... In my opinion, a v8 in off road situations is a chunky and unnecessary engine. Yes it has power but, ıt has a lot of gasoline consumption and it really limits the range of the vehicle, especially, as I mentioned, in off road situations. While overlanding, same disadvantages are also valid i guess... Td5 on the other hand is a complicated machine but being a diesel makes it advantageous in overlanding and offroad situations... Great sound and on road capabilities makes a v8 a pleasurable engine but in offroad and overlanding conditions, if i have to choose one of them, i prefer Td5 for utility.... Although it has certain advantages over a v8, I think Td5 isn't the ideal engine for offroad and overlanding due to its electronic, complicated and prone to malfunction nature... I think the same way as you, although it lacks some power in on road conditions, my experience with 300Tdi narrates me that it is the optimal engine for all kinds of conditions for a Defender... 300Tdi is a very sturdy machine, it can run on olive oil if situation dictates... :) Lots of my experience prove that it is an immortal engine... :)
5 cylinders sound great anyways, but adding that gutsy diesel sound makes it a little better I reckon. I reckon this 5 cylinder is the only engine that sounds like the petrol equivalent
Had both and still got td5 love the sound of both
I love the sound of a turbo diesel. But that V8 is addictive.
Td5
that v8 💦
Nice aftermarket exhaust on the TD5
Lmfao hahahha
I have one of these v8s and love it. Sucks the fuel but I see it as smiles per gallon
I like both of them 😊
V8 for pleasure, Td5 for utility…:)
True but to be fair TD5 is a very tuneable engine
Aaron Dsouza actually I prefer 300Tdi…
@@off_the_roadwhy, please?
