the key is definitely pulling your own workers. I like adepts to as a buffer instead of zealots and depending on the amount of units you can also force the cyclones to pull back a little from the shade.
I found success as toss by pulling to the high ground. When they pull all their workers it means they have to kill you (or deal more damage than just killing your natural, even if they send their workers back to mining), so I just play it safer by playing defensively on the high ground.

In TvT pulling back to the high ground and single factory on a reactor can hold this, Cyclone/Raven with the SCV pull

Probably pretty even, pig is quite a strong player :) It would depend a lot on which matchup we're playing since we both play all three

Your opponents didn't really do the optimised version. They should be able to hit with 6 cyclones at 4:15 at your base if they make the gasses on time. Akrij the GM who perfected hits that timing usually. Otherwise Vs toss the can skip the marine entirely and go for 4:45 and hit with 10 cyclones. Your opponents were hitting with 6 at 4:45...
