Thanks for this video! My 992 TTS has the same issue. I am taking it to the dealership next week to get this fixed. This video was very helpful; thanks again.
So strange that I found this. Krytox is a Dupont product that my wife and her father stumbled upon two decades ago while looking for ski base lubricants. They brought a product to the market they named 'Zardoz' that is a liquid PTFE in a thinner viscosity than the 'grease' you are using. Zardoz is still available and works quite well in a wetter snow condition as it is completely hydrophobic and absorbs into the ski base by capillary attraction. An even stranger coincidence is that I have a 991.2 Targa 4S with a weird rattle in the top. I will now use your method to fix it with the Krytox grease that she first tested on skis 25 years ago. I've got maybe 5 different types of the stuff. Thanks for the tip.
Same on my 2021 C4S. I use Gummipfleg on the sunroof as it squeaks on mine whenever it's wet. Porsche Reading couldn't fix it, twice. I did it in 5 mins. They claim that I need a "sunroof service" which will cost me a couple of hundred pounds. Nope. Door card is being replaced as it's noisy, noise somewhere on the left hand side had to be fixed. Little triangle on the inside of the door where the wing mirror is has a really crazily designed mounting bracket to those wobble and rattle ridiculously easily. Steering clunked now and again when moving between certain surfaces and the wheel was turned - Took them months to figure it out, and the car for weeks. Took the dash out and the mounting bracket (and replaced) and still didn't work. In the end tightened up some bolts apparently, somewhere. For a car of that price these things really aren't OK, but truth is the car as a whole is a dream and I'll put up with that just to get the feeling the thing gives me when I drive it.
First proper drive on my new 992 Turbo S yesterday and discovered the same rattling noise on uneven roads coming from the pax side which is quite disappointing. Unsure if I should take it back to my local dealership as I had serviced my previous 991 GTS in the past and they created a new rattling noise coming from the back of the car.which they couldn’t fix. Overall, it’s such a disappointment to discover these rattling noises coming from cars like Porsche. Never had any of these rattling problems on Merc’s and BM’s. BTW, very good vid 👍
Mine did the same. Dealership replaced part and speaker. I’ve had other problems as well. The rubber seal on the windshield melts. My dashboard will blackout, like reboot.
Mine is a '21. The dealer told me they don't fix it unless someone complains, since it only happens on some cars. Since there is a TSB on it, I assume they'll address it going forward, but I dunno.
Great video! Had exact same problem (door rattling) with new GT3. Thanks to your video I now know what the problem is, and the dealer will fix it. 👍
If memory serves, I posted the part number on carpokes. Join us there and if you can't find it, I'll dig it up...
Hi Tom, another 992 owner here with the same issue. Can you please give us the part number of the “upgraded speaker grill”
I have registered in carpokes although I couldn’t find the part number
@@FlylenseQ I'll find it on carpokes and bump the thread, but give me a day of two (holidays and all). :)
@@FlylenseQ I just posted it again since I couldn't find it either.

UA-cam algorithms are like the Twilight Zone; just so bizarre.

I’ve had mine for 7 months now as a daily drive and have not had this issue yet , but thanks for the heads up I’ll keep this in mind.

I have the exact problem, but of course my dealer has no idea how to fix. Can you advise any more about the updated part?

Thanks for the video! What year is your car? Do you know if they have fixed the speaker rattle on newer models since it was an updated part?
