I love this review, and the kayaking footage was amazing! Ty for sharing it!
Good review and I like your style. Reminds me the late and great British photographer David Thorpe. And that's a great compliment. Keep up the good work.
Looks beautifull. I just wish they made the body a little smaller. There are FF cameras smaller than this camera. It doesnt have to be tiny, but i do feel like, it is a bit bulky for m43
Its smaller than the gh5… i hate small cameras i need space for my fingers. My gh5 with battery grip is perfect
I'd like to see how the G9 II performs for indoor sports with shutter speeds around 1/1,000s or even a little bit faster. I currently own a GH5 II and the indoor sports stills from that camera are nowhere near my old Nikon D750 (colour depth 14bit vs. 12bit, clarity, sharpness, noise etc).
Should i have to use AC Adapter while recording on 60 fps or higher without ssd. I am asking about internal card recording.
i'm tempted to sell the gh6 for it! PDAF is what I crave!
I was really blown away by how much I enjoyed using the LUMIX G9 II. Everything about it just worked really well and the focusing was great, holding itself whilst the water and paddle crossed the faces of the two kayakers. It's a great piece of kit for sure - Pete
One more thing, what lens did you use?
What lens was used to film the kayaking footage?
It is just me or can the GH^ shoot 5.7K full-width capture at up to 60p, but G9II can't? Thanks
Live ND?
Almost same body weight than that of Lumix S5 full frame. How could we say it's lightweight? That's the only drawback for me. I think M43 bodies should stay lightweight all the way.
Is the hdr mode also providing a hdr raw file?
Hi Martin, so the LUMIX G9 II will take multiple images and create a final shot combinding them into a single HDR JPEG file.
Unlimited video rec time, synchro scan?
Yes to both!
As Animalin mentions, the LUMIX G9 II has both of these.
any over heating with video recording?
Not really. Only in 4k 120
I am not sure whether I should get this camera the R7 or go FF the S5 iix?
S5mk2x🎉
does eye af work in 4k 120fps mode?
No. Only C-AF, but not eye, or bird, car, or motorcycle AF at 4K 120p
appreciate your response @@DatuDieter
thank you.

Thank you for the video! Do you know the G9 II's slow motion capabilities in full HD? The GH6 can do astonishing 300 fps while the S5 II is limited to 180 fps. What also would be interesting is whether the auto focus is still working at high frame rates.
G9II does FHD 300 as well. Only single AF in slow motion modes above 120 fps.
The only thing missing from gh6 is 5.7k 60
@@castielvargastv7931 that is available as well
I can't quite wrap my head around a $2000 prosumer camera when full frame sensors can be bought for $2500 , roughly speaking on price points , for me my holy grail is law light capture , but to be honest , all of this comparison between m 4/3 and full-frame applied to light gathering is science that I will never understand
MFT is as good in low light as APS-C due to computational magic
@@26alexxkiddor better - gh5s
Show me a full frame camera at this price with the same features and 4k120. Ther is none. A full frame camera is not better if it can do less, sensor size is not everything and smaller sensors have advantages as well. To me low light of mft cameras is good enough but having a pocket size full frame equivalent of an 28-280mm lense is priceless
Mft + speed boosted f0.95 FF lens... *Chefs kiss*
