Worm was just a different animal, not for the hair colors, tattoos, rockout/cockout partying at the CroBar, dresses and blouses, but for his work ethic/intelligence combined with his athleticism. He was just as much what the sport needed, as the league officials "thought" they could do without (when they weren't winning and fans didn't fill seats). Who wouldn't want to follow the business-like approach he took to the weight room and practice sessions for his entire career? I hope the upcoming 30 for 30 doc really shines a light on that.
I miss the NBA on NBC
He was entertaining and super athletic.
We definitely weren’t winning three more championships without Dennis. Especially considering we only had to give up Will Perdue to get him. He definitely redeemed himself for all his deeds he did to us while in Detroit.
We? You were on the Bulls?
Ca't believe Rodman said that.
poor old will perdue, thats all anyone remembers him for, a lopsided trade for Dennis Rodman
U can criticize all u want about Dennis and his erratic behaviour, but at the end of the day, he's good at what he does on the court. He knows his role.
The NBA changed the rules to make the game harder for Rodman and guys who played like him.
My top 5 favorite player of all time!
Mike and Phil were very good at managing Dennis. They understood how to get the most out of him.
If you didn’t have the great privilege to witness the shear greatness of those 90’s Bulls teams and the playoff runs they had during that time, you simply just don’t understand how magical this was. During that time the NBA was bigger than the NFL and it all revolved around MJ and the Chicago Bulls period end of story! Being a kid watching every game that the Bulls played was just so magical. I’d give anything to go back in time and relive that era of the 90’s. So blessed to have witnessed such greatness. What the NBA used to be was genuinely amazing. It’s such a shame what it has become now: just a soft, no defense, offensive-driven, free-throw-city league where everyone is best buddies hugging and kissing each other on the court before and after the games. I miss the ass-kicking, hard-nosed, no bullshit, face-to-face onslaught of teams genuinely hating each other and doing everything in their power to destroy one another’s game type NBA
Love the hat. He should have this own fashion line. I'd rock it
Two MASTERS of their crafts!! Love Bob and the Worm! 💯💯
My 2nd favorite player of all time. MJ, Worm
Dennis Rodman
He is Da GROAT
Nice video. Thanks for upload and keep up the good work.
THE KING!
Bring back nba on nbc
Best move he ever made was joining the bulls
Let's be honest here, Bob Costas is looked at as a annoying, on his high-horse journalist - whom never played sports. However, he is excellent at getting the most out of his interviews, not afraid of asking any question, tells it exactly how it is, and is shrewd enough to still seem non-judgemental to these athletes. These days with all these pandering, kiss-ass people in the media, I wish there were more Bob Costas, Jim Grey, Billy Packer, Tim McCarver types.
Peter vescey
I actually taped this game years ago and when dennis said u got the great jordan pippen and phil jackson if u take him away do they win a title i agreed and i hated the bulls.
Ofc they don't win a title if you take him away. But if you take him away and replace him with another interior presence they still win the chip.
Rodman and Jordan were so good at basketball that they were bored with the game. Jordan addressed his boredom by making up conflicts with people and taking anything personal. Rodman addressed it by being a "bad boy" and doing stuff to create drama.
Yeah, they were that good.
The NBA has been complete garbage ever since that bulls team broke up
This guy actually thought he was bigger than the league 😂
That's why he was out of the league shortly after his run with the Bulls. If it weren't for Chicago he would have been out of the league by the mid 90s
