When it comes to hay making its a bit like what Murray Walker used to say..... Go ..Go...Go... 😊. We haven't got ours cut yet but hopefully the weather up here will start to show signs of summer shortly 🤣🙄. Stay safe 🏴
Tractor driver syndrome (sweaty damp bum and dangly bits), welcome to the club.
I worked with someone once that had the air con (cold)on full and the heated(hot)seat on at the same time during the summer.
Mr Cornock likes tedding, perhaps he could do yours and Harry could do his?
All for Community Policing in rural areas, build up relationships and educate others
When I was at agricultural college 25 years ago, every month, we had police and fire and rescue units attend for an afternoon of livestock handling.
Tory cuts!
Thank you Mrs p for uploading videos. Great video. We're busy making silage busy times. Looking forward to seeing more
That is farm life Ian doing the same thing over and over again. I enjoying watching your videos keep on making them
We love to hear you rambling on whilst hay making... More interesting than shows and tractors
A very good Sunday evening to you all
Good on u Ian . Old style transit
Can’t beat it . Better than the modern Transit crap . Made in turkey . Too many horror stories
Thereof . 🤦♂️
Bring back the village Bobby.
I don't know what it is like now but back in the eights when I was a deputy area coordinator on our local Neighbourhood Watch we had a PC attached to our area and monthly meetings which was very useful with all sorts of info such as crime figures etc and another officer I got to know very well who had old school values he used to cycle around on his push bike and saw things going on that any patrol car could not and one day he said to me what sort of things that you look at in your capacity as Environment Secretary in the Resident Association I replied on breaches of local bye laws, that wouldn't be in you domaine his reply was "I would be interested in my experience people who break bye laws go on to break bigger laws and I like to know who is on my patch" I thought this chap was really hands on. 🧐
Evening farmer p mum p abbi holli emma sam bisskit and ur other dogs

Its great to c bisskit enjoying sitting in tractor with u it looked like she was chilling out
Love u guys💚💜💙❤️
👍
Nice to see Biskit Ian ❤ and I do enjoy it when you give your view on things I quite agree if you police the area then you should have at least a bit of knowledge about farming or go out to the farmers and ask about how they can help in situations like what happened a few weeks ago 👍 how is the little chap doing with the dairy air problem 😟 x 👍 great video today more exciting than the football 😂
He’s improving 👍🏼
All great ideas Ian. You got round to what I was thinking at the end. Could you, or any farmer, have the chaps come by and spend a few hours getting used to handling the critters. And sheep, and goats. Would go a long way it would.
Our village had a few police houses over the years gradually moving from very old rambling cottages to what was once a brand new house, all sold now. One cottage must have been a little police station as it has a prison cell tucked away in a corner
The police used to be more in touch with the community. We used to know the police around the area, but the police in charge hated that and thought the police were too comfortable with the people living in the area. They changed it, so they rotated them, so you never know the police; now, they are just passing cars with fancy decals on them. We used to have police stop for a chat or bru regularly, and they knew who was up to no good or who got silly if they had a bit of much beer but was basically OK or that van that is out of place. That's local knowledge. They knew when a barn suddenly gets a lot more traffic than normal, and no one knows who is renting it, that local intell is missing, and it shows.
We used to get called up regularly to use the Kramer to pull a car off a wall or a tree down there to help with somthing, but we have never had that call for years.
Hmm. Transit tipper, scrap merchant, near Heathrow. Did he try and sell you a dag with that? 😉
Haha, no, it came Dag free 😄👍🏼
Very nice video mr. P. 👍👍👍👍
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊
Such a tough job tedding hay in an air conditioned cab. Why not sell the haymaking kit and buy the bales in if it is such a chore?
very good video as always 👍❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
You didn't give 3 words on your open day because we got lost .
Lol. It's brilliant if used correctly.
It's not exactly difficult, type address into Google maps and hey presto. I could probably get there from Cornwall without anything, certainly to the village
If you got lost how do you tie your shoelaces?
@nigelgribble8736 your so clever ..
@abbiejones1843 unlike you, id be embarrassed to have actually asked your question.
I've found talcum powder helps
The art of making hay
Hi Ian @Farmer P i hope you keep the old transit for spare parts, least you and dangerous dave will have a parts bin
Keep the mower on the mx keep the Tedder on the 695 save the faffing of changing implement
I only have to mow once, tedding is every day for 3 or 4 days, the extra comfort is well worth the half hour faff.
Not trying to tell you your job but you started turning hay in the middle of the field dad used to turn the headlands first because it's slowest to dry same as baling he used to leave the hedge swath while last to give it more time to dry keep up the good work
Why turn it then flatten it down again when you turn on the headland?
@FarmerP yes I agree we used to turn with the acrobat which we didn't have a hay bob you are right we had to keep it in swaths which was slower to dry so we had to leave the hedge swath as long as possible to dry farming as changed a lot
Interesting vblog.🎉 Not long now until the 27th July 😊
30:56 great content again
That’s a bit rash - new wagon but given the circumstances …. Makes perfect sense.
The Thames Valley Police had an officer killed responding to a quad bike theft. I'm sure the police could have some help help with the heifer in Surrey even a call to the RSPCA.
I doubt very much the RSPCA would be any help at all, unless it was a farm kitten they wanted to help.

I think the main point you were and are trying to make is, that the rural police forces need to do is increase the amount of training to service the rural vs urban public to the best of their ability. I believe in this case you are right on the nose and good on you.
They need bring back village Bobby we had 2
We deliver to farms, forestry sites and wind farms... Couldn't do it without W3W..
A bigger tedder would be a good investment less time and compaction on your grass
Thankyou for your tracker thoughts soap box . Very good .
Biscuit in the beginning looked like there he goes again talking to himself , what's to do , oh well he's been doing it for years now 😹😂.
What was the app called ?? Liked to know wasn't sure ?? Three words ?? .
Pepper is a pepper . Listening better 😉 maybe .
You do teach us cows are funny .
Thankyou have a good evening .
Appreciated the lesson on due and grass .
What3words is the app. Highly recommend 👍🏼
👀🙄🐾👍
😀
👋🏼😎
If your cow gets on the freeway here it’s going to cost you . Have to make the cost of well kept fencing justifiable . California.
It’s our responsibility to keep our stock well fenced here too.
A liaison,I did not know that you were French?
Ian you are absolutely right about the police getting to know and use local “educated” people to help in certain situations. However I presume that health and safety comes above common sense.
Apparently in some circles the health and safety book is the new common sense
Playing again 😂😂 big tractors 🚜 did you say ?
Whenever I spend a large amount to a "new" account I send them a random amount unknown to them (eg £1.59) and ask vendor how much they've received. If they tell me the correct amount I send the balance as I'm then sure my old fat fingers haven't got the wrong account. Too many horror stories of money transferred to wrong person and not being refunded.
Hi hope all goes well with the truck I bought a car onçe over the phone he brought it to me it was knackered he never answered his phone I didn't know where he lived 😢
We used to have a community bobby and when some tyres were slashed he new exactly who it was and problem sorted in a couple of hours. If it happened now nothing would be done ad we don't have a community bobby.
👍👍👍🇮🇪

What about the young heifers, have they calved yet or were they pseudo pregnancy’s?
No, still no calves, big tits, but that’s all?
Put what three words on my phone incase I have a problem walking the dog in the countryside.
Hi Farmer p have ya any tractor coming up to play with
mr p what happens if you dont down load at 6pm
No video.
Lack of common sense if you ask me haha
Whilst i do get your point about police ignorance in the country..if you have no police in your area or little don't complain.
?
don't like to be a pest
BUT
you still haven't filled the gate posts up
saving the dickie birdies
Most of them have been stuffed with cow parsley stems etc so dicky birds can escape 🙂👍🏼
Well, farmer p it looks like you dance on both sides of the fence what the police man done was morale wrong, no excuse for the asshole I wonder what he does to poor people that don't have a voice or a say.in my humble opinion I think he should be fired and never let back on police force
Having the ability to see and listen to both sides of a story is an increasing rarity these days. Being certain of an opinion with nothing more than limited social media evidence is lazy and dangerous. We are still none the wiser how the heifer got to be in the town in the first place, the officer who ran it over probably knew nothing about livestock at all (was that his fault ?) If he was ordered to stop it running about to prevent injury to the public some of whom had reported it charging at them (they new no better either) by disabling it with his motor, then the finger of blame can’t be pointed at one individual doing his job. My point was emphasising the lack of knowledge and resources resulting in a very poor response at the cost of not just the poor innocent heifer but also the reputation of the police.
Crazy how you don’t look behind not even once whilst tedding, how would you know somethings coming lose or going to fall off?
Good maintenance, and ears.🙂😬
