The more and more I research, it takes me back to Kawai…the sound is so rich and warm. Also, I love how they focus purely on the piano. I feel like the other brands offer unnecessary stuff outside of the piano. I like how this company focused purely on piano players.
Thank you very much for this review..it's really helped fir me to take decision which piano to buy for my beginner piano player daughter. And it's for her birthday present! 😊
I play for 9 months and now is the time to buy another instrument. My budget is 1000 euros. I have tried the CN29 and it feels great. The sound is gorgeous! I play classical music in particular. For about 1300 euros, the CN29 is excellent. Should I raise my budget to 1500 euros for the CN39, or is the CN29 still a great digital piano? 1500 euros is really a lot of money 😣
Yes, most important the action! CN17 uses RH-Compact, but CN29 uses RH3 action. Beside this the CN29 has a easy to use User Interface with OLED Display, while CN17 has no display. Also the speaker system in CN29 is much better than CN17.
Why is the app for this model not compatible with Android also? Virtual Technician is only usable on iPad, and PianoRemote is not compatible with the CN series. Big thumbs-down for this, Kawai.
Dear sir, the Virtual technician app was designed for iOS only due to lack of Android BT MIDI support and Android phone makers missing support at that time. The PianoRemote app was designed a long time after the release of CN29. Therefore the CN29 doesn't support the PianoRemote app, which is using our latest technology for BT MIDI and Web MIDI communication, which is not available for CN29 platform hardware. Newly released products of course have the new technology implemented. It is not possible to upgrade the CN29 to the latest technology platform. Sorry for that.
