The Raptor R is a Fantastic truck inside and out. Luxury with loads of options and technology. I'm not sure if you used the trail camera system, but it's amazing especially when you heading over a high dune and need to see on the other side. It looked like you were having a blast running and jumping the Dunes and enjoying that amazing Predator power. Thanks for the ride along. Great job

Yes they started off with the 6.2 V8 then went to the 3.5 twin turbo which is an impressive little engine but nothing like that 5.2L V8

I was at the local Valvoline oil change the other day getting my Trx serviced. I was talking to the guys there and I told them that as far as daily use, interior, looks, yes even street performance I’ll stick with the Trx. But if I had to get over that hill with dirt on it over there I’d go with a raptor R or any raptor for that matter.🤔 Stang mode recorded a 3.9 0-60 and TFL truck recorded a 3.9 as well. Everybody please correct me if I’m wrong. Ram says the Trx is estimated at 4.5sec 0-60. Real world trx times are under four seconds as well including car and driver magazine which got 3.7.
Have a gen 3 raptor v6. Wanted a TRX for the Hellcat, but the street looks, interior kept me from making the switch. The predator in the R makes it a no-brainer.

That predator engine is very impressive, rams hellcat is 6.2 and predator is 5.2 smaller but Punch harder moves that big truck with so much power
I'm not sure about harder. It comes down to brand preference. They are both awesome trucks. I prefer bigger displacement, so trx for me! But raptor is just as good

My modded 2018 Chrysler 300C Hemi averages 14 mpg or less in the city depending on how I'm driving it. It's pretty obvious why these performances engines are being discontinued especially at Dodge. Poor mpg and not the best for carbon emissions. It seems Ford modified the exhaust on the Raptor R to improve cafe emission numbers. The Raptor R is a beast. It basically a trophy, Baja truck built with a lot of luxury, options and features. Every one keeps talking about it's $109,000 price tag, but I'm not hearing anyone complaining about the final edition $100,000 + Charger and Challenger Hellcats that could have been purchased for around $69,000, until Dodge changed the paint color. Added some decals and called it the final production. A little trivia.
At full throttle. You can empty a Challenger Hellcat's gas tank of expensive premium fuel in only 11 minutes.
Other than the gas savings. A Raptor R can JUMP OVER A TRX when it runs out of gas before the Raptor R.
So you finance one of these highly optioned performance trucks at $90,000 at the increasing interest rate of 9.00% after today's fed interest increase with around $18,000 down or 20% for 84 months giving you a payment of $1222.77. Then add insurance and fuel costs and your dropping around $1500.00+ monthly. If you're living at home, not paying rent or a mortgage. That's $18,000 per year. No Thanks. These are truck and they don't have Brinks written on their sides

Please remind me how much the R will cost with the market adjustments? Fully loaded TRX is $100k, which can be picked up for 11-12k off MSRP - $88-90K. Raptor R will never be sold below MSRP.
Just add Tyrant package for $7000 and you have 787 HP TRX which only 96k and its fully loaded TRX.

The Ford Raptor sure is one of the best pick-up trucks out there. What if you compare to other pick-up trucks such as the Dodge Ram and Toyota Tundra?
only the ram trx had a v8 engine well the tundra the previous generation has a v8 engine the all new generation didn't have it the only v6 i think both of the trucks are very good

Comparing a raptor r with Shelby motor to factory stock TRX is insane but it's amazing that almost 1k lighter truck only beats stock TRX by 1 to 3 tenths of a second with same driver driving both trucks on drag strip and with the truck that much lighter and only 2 horse power less should beat stock TRX by miles also raptor r has weak tire arms from what I've seen they using same tire rod know to break for The Price better off getting fully loaded TRX and doing twin turbo you are forgetting The dealership markups so it will be hard to get for 109k but again not production has to go to Shelby for preference upgrade part of Shelby's contract with Ford kinda like calling the cyclone GMC which isn't factory GMC or Hennessy mammoth TRX not dodge factory truck so compare The raptor r with The cyclone and mammoth TRX please

Hey, TRX owner here. Did I miss the 0-60? 🤔
The Fast Lane Truck guys and StangMode channels both did 0-60 tests. Initial tests show that it beats the TRX. Probably because it's about 600 lbs lighter is my guess. Both great trucks though.
@@RoasterTX I'll check on Fast Lane. Stang Mode got a 3.9 sec? Is that right? It's widely known that the RAM TRX 0-60 is faster than what RAM published estimate of 4.5 seconds. Car and Driver got 3.7. Many TRX owners have under 4 secs. If you come across published RaptorR info from Ford or one of the big magazines, let me know!
@@RoasterTX That's odd. TFL ran a 4.4 and a 4.5 in the Raptor R and TFL also got a 3.9 with the Ram TRX where most owners get 3.5-3.7

I sold my trx. That sucker broke down on me with in the first 250 miles. Then my brothers trx broke down after 6k miles lol dodge products are shit. That’s why they visit the service shop so often.

Not sure there is an RIP going on here. Trx still bigger, faster, better interior, etc. Plus a raptor(with obvious markups) will cost 40-50k more to obtain vs getting a trx.

Raptor is so much better. It has better styling of all the trucks. The TRX looks bland and outdated already and they just copied Ford anyways. Ford first came out with offroading performance trucks first (1st gen Raptor 2009)(Dodge and Chevy didn't have crap in 2009) and well Chevy has nothing currently only the base Silverados and a Junk version of it. lol

@@sixmarch I think the TRX looks good but I can't say it looks better than the Raptor. The Raptor has an iconic look to it. The TRX kinda looks like a Raptorfied version of a Ram Rebel. That's not a bad thing, but it's what it looks like while the Raptor is more distinguishable from the standard F150.
