The Russians, who took over power over Poland after 1945, were so shameless that they destroyed sculptures and stucco on buildings in order to eliminate our identity. They often did this at night, and then they announced that fragments were falling off the walls onto the pavements and were a threat, and then they chiseled everything off. That is why many buildings that were once beautifully carved now have flat walls in the style of socialist realism. They turned them into raw walls, gloomy, communist. World War II basically ended for Poles in 1989. A very important issue. Not Nazis, but Germans. Not Polish camps, but German. The whole world, people from the highest levels believe that the camps were Polish, and Poles are Nazis and fascists. This is repeated on a huge scale. Even this week Poles were called killers (and in Germany). Sad. There were German death and concentration camps on Polish territory. This is the correct term. The Auschwitz camp - this was a camp where Poles were murdered en masse. Jews appeared there at the end of the war and were sent to the camp in Brzezinka, located nearby. It is called Auschwitz-Birkenau, Auschwitz II. Many surviving Polish prisoners regret that these lies are repeated. Poles are completely ignored as the first victims of German industrial murder of people.
