Bosnia was Christian ortodox before turkish terrorist come to occupy ...it can't be influence of Serbia on itself.turkey are bloody asian come there and converted fircefully Christian to muslim
Finally, a foreigner who said that individuals on all sides in the Bosnian war committed atrocities, so all three peoples had lost loved ones. If Serbs were helped by Serbia and the Orthodox countries, as you said, for the sake of fairness you should also have said that the Muslims were helped by Turkey and Saudi Arabia - even mujaheddins were present during the war; and the Bosnian Croats were helped by Croatia, Germany, and the Vatican. I am from Serbia and I have been to Bosnia and Herzegovina many times. It's a wonderful country with amazing people and history. I love it. Ordinary people on all sides just want to have normal lives and move on. It's the politicians who always create trouble. Anyway, things in the Balkans are way deeper and more complex than you can possibly understand. I told you that also in your Serbia video.
Hi Alex, thanks for being back! And thank you for sharing this thoughtful perspective! We always appreciate feedback and take it to heart! You’re absolutely right, the history and dynamics of the Balkans are incredibly complex, with many sides and stories to consider! 😞 Yes, let's hope for and focus on peace and normalcy for all! ♥️
Turkey and Saudi Arabia didn't help my people in Srebrenica.. so idk what's your are talking about there (unless we are talking about Mujaheddin in Zenica which is in Central Bosnia not Eastern Bosnia)... But Greek and Russians were present during the fall of Srebrenica in 1995. There's Google images that you can see online if you don't believe me and a Greek reporter who covered the story got death threats from Greek radical nationalists...
Alex, I agree with you that all sides are responsible for the killings not just Serbia. However, the scale of atrocities are much larger in Bosnia Sieges and Kosovo War, that’s why as a foreigner I sympathize more for the Bosnia and Kosovo. Living in US, I can be affected by Western media more, however, I tried to be as neutral as possible. I just visited Serbia, Bosnia and other Balkan countries a month ago. I want to listen to the Serbia’s point of view, thus I participated Serbian tour (with Serbian tour guide) . Through the trip, I can realize better of the historical background and roots of the conflicts. It is hard to resolve Balkan’s intertwined conflicts and difficult to sort out who had original sins. Only thing I can hope is love and peace can finally achieved among all people who live in the Region.

Hello Nicole and Roberto I really appreciate your reports. They are excellent with a lot of empathy and understanding. I can also feel your concern in a divided country. Next year I'm going on a cultural trip with a friend through Ljubljana-Zagreb-Banja Luka-Sarajevo-Mostar-Split-Sibenik-Rijeka-Trieste. Best wishes to you Felix

Your cultural trip sounds amazing, it covers many interesting and beautiful places! Sending you best wishes and love to Grisons! ♥️ We really appreciate you having with us! 🤗🤗
How is Bosnia actually more divided than Switzerland, Belgium, Moldova, Ukraine or Cyprus? Switzerland is split ethnically just like we are, they dont even speak the same language between themselves and have cantons, Belgium has also two regions that dont like each other with completely different languages, and one wants independence, and they are not able to form a governent for hundreds of days, Cyprus is split into two parts even more than Bosnia, whose parts dont even communicate with each other. Moldova has a breakaway republic that isnt even under it's control, Ukraine as well with the Russian occupation. So not really sure how Bosnia is Europe's MOST DIVIDED country, would you care to elaborate? :) Also "a country with an uncertain future", really no need to insult us like that, as far as I can see we welcomed you with open arms.
Thanks for your comparison and for your frank words. We certainly didn’t mean to "insult" Bosnia & Herzegovina, and we hope our love and respect for Bosnia & Herzegovina shines through in the video. ♥️🇧🇦👼
@ thanks for the kind words! You still didnt argument though why is Bosnia the MOST DIVIDED country in Europe? Especially compared to Switzerland, Belgium, Ukraine, Moldova, and Cyprus, who are more divided than we are. Would you care to elaborate your claim? :)
Swiss are split ethnically but they are one nation. You ask any Swiss what are they, they'll say I am Swiss, not Swiss German or German, or Italian or French. Three ethnicities in Switzerland don't have their "own" ethnic flag like Croats and Serbs do in Bosnia. Their only flag is Swiss flag. While in Bosnia, you have not only three ethnic groups but three nationalities as well which is absurd.
Until the international community gets tired of keeping Bosnia together. It is only together because the international community wants it to stay together. But the country is dysfunctional and the three peoples there can't agree on anything. On any single thing. How long do you think such a situation will last?
@@AlexM-t6h we have been in more dire situations, yet we are here. Ottomans are gone, Austro-Hungarians are gone, Yugoslavia is gone...so... there might be some rough times ahead, but nothing that we will not survive. 💪💪

Nice video but part of it is really strange, and i am goong to tell you which one First of all there are so many bosnian singers and songs and you picked up 2!!! Obviously turkish people who sing in their own language! Why???? I dont show chinese singers in germany for example if i am talking about germany. Second its not nice to talk about pickpokets who are all over the world probably i saw them everywhere and i traveled in over 30 european countries. Thats strange to remind i never heard such thing by watching a video about france or italy or germany.. and believe me there are xar more pickpokets inthose countries. Third when you talk about "other part" of bosnia there is no other part its one country where we all unerstand each other perfectly and know each other. Since the war sebian nationalists try to equalize the war by saying such things xou guys said here like war crimes were done by all sides which is simply not true in so many ways. One thing is to try to build and defend the country and other thing is to tear it apart by force. You showed the serbian monument of fallen warriors and not civilians like you did in srebrenica. My wife for example lost both of their uncles and grandfather in srebrenica along with a 16 year old boy one of their cousins and i traveled all over bosnia and i didnt saw single one serbian 16 years old who died and only during the siege of sarajevo there were over 2000 kids killed... imagine now having those 100 tousand and more people on the street and imagine bosnia without war? Imagine srebrenica full of happy people and not that sadness when you go there only thing you want is to cry for days between those incredible beautiful hills. Imagine serbian politicians saying we are sorry for what we did lets buld up our country together again. Imagine serbia and also croatia saying bosnia we wish you all the best and will help you healing your wounds and we will not interfere and make problems in your country anymore. Thats our problem and not the people in our country including all sides no matter which nacionality religion or whatever.

Bosnia and Herzegovina was created by the Yugoslav communist party in 1945 out of former Ottoman Turkish territories stolen from Croatia, for example, the Western Bosnian town of Bihac was the Capital of Croatia at one point in history until it was captured by the Ottoman Turks in 1592 AD.
@@TheSouth-j7f 😂Hahaha, what did you say, hahah. Unlike Bosnia, Croatia was first mentioned in 1941 as a fascist province during the Second World War, until then Croatia was a Hungarian slave and those Catholics who lived in Bosnia cleaned Bosniak and Turkish toilets and stables for 500 years. Had it not been for the Vatican in 1995, today the territory of Croatia would be a few kilometers around Zagreb. So please just shut up. Do not humiliate yourself like the Serbs. You mention Pale, so is it normal that in a country on part of the territory you don't have the symbols of that country, but para-state symbols, and in Sarajevo there are only symbols of Bosnia. Would you tolerate someone in your country not recognizing the country they live in? Shame on you!!!

How is this the Bosnia "the media doesn't show you" ?. You only visited Sarajevo (the top tourist destination) and Srebrenica (most famous in the media for the killings). The entire video is just you talking about the war and saying how divided the country is. Sooo Sarajevo, Srebrenica, war, division. That's literally ALL the media shows about Bosnia. Why not travel to unknown parts of the country or focus on the things actually not talked about, like the positive future of Bosnia. There's so many people across the country (Bosniak, Croat, and Serb) who are working hard and trying to create a better future in Bosnia. Young people staying to build a future, people starting businesses, activists working to move Bosnia away from corruption and nationalism. But instead, you're just feeding into the same old media narrative that bosnia is a country stuck in the 90s with no hope for the future.
When the Roman Empire split, Bosnia(dinaric Alps) were the border between east & west. The Bosnian Church was different than Catholicsm from the Vatican and Orthodoxy from Constantinople. The pope even sent crusades not to convert them to Catholicism, just w ip e them out lol Look Up "why Bosnia is muslim" The Bosnian Church rejected the cross and prayed 5 times a day like the Muslims when the ottomans came. You are also naive, they don't know that, they are here to spread lies and propagandize fabrications from CNN, BBC... That it is "genocide"?! What does not satisfy any world-known definition and resolution on genocide. At first, no more than 2500 Muslims were killed, now Muslims from all over Bosnia are bringing in corpses, so as not to inflate the number. Well, in a short time, almost over 500 were found on the monuments that were alive, and it was written that they were dead on the monuments?! Only men capable of military service were killed, women were taken to safety, along with children and the elderly... Where in the world and in what place did such a "genocide" happen?! someone who supposedly "wants to commit genocide"?! Over a nation of about 2 million people, of one nation, and to supposedly destroy them?! ! He committed this "genocide" in a military operation by killing a few thousand soldiers and men of military age, who had previously massacred women and children in Serbian villages, and killed 3,500 of them?! So those "evil genocidal Serbs"?! Who "want to commit genocide and destroy all Muslims in Bosnia"?! They take and transport all the Muslim women, children and old men from Srebrenica, to safety "those evil genocidal Serbs"?! And they liquidate only military capable men, as a form of revenge for the previous crimes of those very Muslims! Well, if they want to commit genocide, why would they spare women and children?! How did the Serbs thank God and did it! And where in the world is there a "genocide of a few thousand dead"?! And all this is happening in one practical village of Srebrenica?! And these same men, most of them died in the breakthrough, through the Serbian lines on the front. These are the Muslim butchers who slaughtered before that in Bratunac, Kravici on Christmas... More than 3,500 Serbs, civilian women and children, were killed then! But, of course, they are not interested in that, they are interested in spreading lies and propaganda as much as possible! So it is clear that this is a political game of the West directed against the Serbs as the arch-enemy of the West! And the same US and NATO armed those same Muslims in that war, in the butchery raids on Serbian towns and villages in Bosnia! And the Muslims were proxy infantry for them, for which there are hundreds of proofs! And who controls the court in The Hague, the US forever! US NATO and their allies are mostly terrorists, Nazis... They will not answer for any crime?! Has anyone who is a puppet of the US and NATO ever been held accountable in The Hague for a crime?! of course it's not, so no one will be held accountable for the series of 3500 killed Serbs from Bratunac ... and other places ... The case of Gaza is the best proof, it's clear to anyone with an IQ higher than room temperature. When the Americans forbade the court in The Hague to try their to Israel's ally and therefore to the Americans for real genocide! Several tens, if not hundreds of thousands of killed women, children, children, babies... In Gaza! But that's not "genocide"?! These are US partners, servants... They are "fighting for democracy"?! Just like the Muslims and mujahideen in the 90s in Bosnia, when they beheaded Serbs! That's all right, right?! .When the Serbs killed those mass murderers, they were in Srebrenica! And not "it's genocide"?! A couple of thousand Muslim butchers of military age who were already slaughtering women and children in Serbian villages! It's "genocide"?! And several tens of thousands of women, children, old people and babies in Gaza. And 3,500 Serbs from Bratunac and its surroundings... "isn't it genocide"?! So how do the Americans say that?!
So many things that are Serbian here like there is no difference between Croatians Bosnians Serbians only the religion that divides us Catholicism, Islam, Orthodoxy
Unfortunately the ethnicity of the 3 groups are still too fresh in their minds and it just going to cost one incident for renewed hostilities . Sad but true
That way we had war we didnt want to go backwards like we look now. Bosnia was beautiful country in my time. In Tito's time modern country looking forward. Look it now scary. Sinking in darknes of Islamic fundamentalism. I am losing interest to visit my homeland.
This appears to be typical Sarajevo propaganda that you've unfortunately bought into. Given how much time you've spent in Sarajevo, it's surprising that you didn't mention the significant Serbian population that existed there prior to 1992. While much of what you said was accurate, and your video began with some solid historical facts, I sense that you couldn’t resist portraying Serbs, like many of your compatriots, as mere specters of the past. I agree with you, history does tend to repeat itself. However, I also notice that you didn't take the opportunity to ask any Serb why they might oppose a unified Bosnia, or inquire what the concept of 'one person, one vote' would mean to them in this context. If you're going to tackle such sensitive topics, I would suggest making a greater effort to understand the full scope of the issue, beyond what is often presented by Western media outlets like CNN. I understand that you're a UA-camr aiming for a certain audience, and I wish you success in that. However, I would recommend focusing on tourism-related content rather than engaging with political matters. Alternatively, at the end of your video, perhaps a disclaimer should be added to clarify that the content is tailored to the Western market and that certain facts have been adjusted.

The muslims of the Balkans represent the legacy of the Ottomans, who occupied christian lands. The Balkan peoples have nothing against Islam as a religion, but these "native" muslims betrayed their roots and sided with the Ottomans. In the wars between the Austrian Empire, later Russia and the Ottoman Empire, the Serbs and other christian peoples were on the side of Austria and Russia, and on the other hand, the Ottoman Empire had as allies the Albanians, who are 80% muslims, and the Islamized Serbs (today's Bosniaks), Islamized Bulgarians (Pomaks), Islamized Macedonians (Torbeshi), Islamized Greeks, etc. Any Turkish victory would lead to the exodus of christians and the settlement of Albanians and other muslims. The last Ottoman territories to be liberated were Bosnia and the southern part of the Balkans. At that time, the politics of the great powers changed. They no longer allowed christian nations to expel muslims during liberation. That is why they are still there and causing problems for christians.
You dont know the history of bosnia to claim this.. Bosnia was already persecuted by both orthodox and catholic authorities.. Bosnia was a safe haven for persecuted religious minorities.. It was a buffer zone between catholic and orthodox powers.. The bosnian kingdom had no loyalties to the powers that persecuted it..
First of all is to say that the Albanians and the Greeks are the indigenous population of the Balkans. For example, when the Albanians were Christian, there were even no Slavs in the Balkans. From the Middle Ages onwards, the conquest of land by Slavs began in the Balkans. The Serbo-Slavs like to use religion as a pretext to ethnically cleanse the native Albanian population from their territories and to justify their racism and nationalism. Every person has the right to believe in the religion he wants, even if certain radical Orthodox priests would like to see it differently. Albanians are predominantly Muslim, but there are also a large number of Catholics and Orthodox. Albanians do not define themselves by religion, but by ethnicity (unlike the settled Slavs).
Such a stupid comment! The reason why Serbs are not ready for European union is summarized in this comment! Anyway for your information, Albanians are in the balcans since much before than "Rusan" Serbs! And Albanians have been Christians much before than Serbs. But we're also enough intelligent thsr religion is just pretty novels told people! And greatest side of people don't give a shit about religion and don't listen to old men in andropausa hating women!
very disturbing and non-objective video. There in 1/3 of Bosnia, where Bosniaks are the majority; Sarajevo, East Mostar, Zenica, Travnik, Gorazde, Bihac and similar, there are no symbols of Bosniaks or other countries, only Bosnian flags, where there are Serbs and Croats, there are no symbols of Bosnia, but flags of other countries and other anti-defiance symbols.
Western european countries have much more divided societies than Bosnia. There is a huge difference between multinational and multicultural. People in Bosnia speak the same language ffs
Bosnia & Herzegovina does have three main religions ( Roman Catholic Croats, Orthodox Serbs, Bosniak muslims), two main alphabets: Latin used by the Croats, Cyrillic used by the Serbs, Latin used by the Bosniak (muslims) but who also use the Arabic script in their religious practices. So, there are a lot of differences in the country and its pointless to try to gloss it over.
I wish to Bosnia all the best for the future . I am also from the balkans and I think all problems of balkans will be fixed by massive emigration to west after membership in EU. Not people around no hate around, it is just a matter time!
@goingtoworld I am Albanian raised in Tuscany now in Poland since 14 years and I see all this balcanic "issues" as primitive and medieval! The balcanic people don't understand that what makes our area beautiful and attractive from a tourist perspective is the diversity and richness of our area. But you can not change the mindset, only massive emigration of young people to west and the passing by of today adults and old people will fix this issue: I know it seems macabre but this is reality, you cannot change the mindset of a 50 years old person. What makes ironic the situation is that balcanic people when they meet in west Europe, they befriend with each other...
When you look at a regional map it becomes clear that Bosnia in the past was a part of Croatia. There was no muslim community in Bosnia before the Ottoman Turkish invasion of Bosnia in 1463 AD, the invasion also caused major population movements in the Balkans.
The Bosnian Chruch was separate of the Catholicsm from the Vatican and the Orthodox from Constantinople. The Pope sent crusades to not to convert them to Catholicism, just to execute them well before the Ottomans came.
I haven't seen a worse and more malicious video clip in a long time. About Bosnia, the country against which aggression, serious war crimes and genocide were committed in Srebrenica.
People need to know the real truth. Most of the harm/evil was done by the army, not by the people or civilians, the genocide that happened in Srebrenica was committed by Serbia and the Yugoslav People’s Army (JNA), not the Serbs from Republika Srpska .A great injustice is being done to Serbs, and that’s one of the reasons why 60% of Serbs don’t want a shared life, and one country without borders. In Bosnia war 25000 Serbs died.Greetings from Sarajevo.
🤣🤣🤣🤣The so-called "Genocide in Srebrenica" never even happened. Because it is not genocide. It does not meet any definition or resolution about genocide, about real genocide. It is a political propaganda program of the US and NATO, in order to wash themselves and their proxy infantry, Muslims and Mujahideen from Bosnia.
Not the JNA but the paramilitary forces from Serbia, and also by the soldiers from Republika Srpska. JNA had withdrawn from Bosnia in the early stages of the war, as early as 1992. The new, Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro) was proclaimed on April 27, 1992, and by then the Vojska Jugoslavije (Yugoslav Army) was formed, so the JNA had ceased to exist before that.
You are giving false information. The international court has concluded that what happened in Srebrenica was genocide. This part is correct. But, the same court did not condemn Serbia for genocide. It said that Serbia could have done more to prevent the genocide from happening, but that it itself was not responsible for the genocide. When Bosnia sued Serbia for genocide, the claim was dismissed.

Alex,
I agree with you that all sides are responsible for the killings not just Serbia.
Thank you, dear Chowchin Chuang, for your heartfelt contribution! ♥️🙏♥️

Bravoooo,snooze.
Touche.
Hahaha, many empires have come and gone, but Bosnia is still standing...and it will till the end of the world.
🙏♥️🇧🇦
Until the international community gets tired of keeping Bosnia together. It is only together because the international community wants it to stay together. But the country is dysfunctional and the three peoples there can't agree on anything. On any single thing. How long do you think such a situation will last?

Nice video but part of it is really strange, and i am goong to tell you which one
First of all there are so many bosnian singers and songs and you picked up 2!!!

Bosnia used to a part of Croatia. If anyone is confused just look at a regional map and it all becomes clear.
When the Roman Empire split, Bosnia(dinaric Alps) were the border between east & west.
The Bosnian Church was different than Catholicsm from the Vatican and Orthodoxy from Constantinople. The pope even sent crusades not to convert them to Catholicism, just w ip e them out lol
Look Up "why Bosnia is muslim"
The Bosnian Church rejected the cross and prayed 5 times a day like the Muslims when the ottomans came. It had a lot of similarities and we didn't want to give our kids to the jannisaries lol
But Bosnia - Bosona just means "land of running water"
A guy from Germany gave Bosnia to Croatia in the 1940s and that wasn't okay 😂
@@MojaveWrangler77 Bosnia was a Roman Catholic territory when it was invaded by the Ottoman Turks in 1463 AD. The Bosnian church didn't exist at that time. Can you name a single Bosnian church site in Bosnia today?
@@MojaveWrangler77 If you look it up the Western Bosnian town of Bihac was at one time the Capital of Croatia, it was captured by the Ottoman Turks in 1592 AD.

I think that the name of your video Should be Bosnia only, Sarajevo and Srebrenica, Federation...? You never covered Hercegovina at all and gave Republic of Srpska nearly 3 minutes of your time if we take away your visit to Srebrenica. Near the end of your film you have mentioned That all 3 nations have its own autonomies (mining Entities) well, that is not correct! There are only 2 Entities, Republic of Srpska and second one is Federation, even there are 3 constitutional nations.

That is all Bosnia and Herzegovina! You can say simply as it is, genocidal part of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Dear Milan, thank you for sharing your perspective and for engaging with the content. Wishing you all the best! 🙏

До пре 500год у БОСНИ није било ни католика ни мудлимана

Thanks for your contribution. 🙏🫶

@@mirzetahrustic2273 How?
@ JNA army with Ratko Mladic commander did genocide in Srebrenica not Serbs from Bosnia you mother f ... !!! That is fact and absolute true !
