I will add as of writing this the Yellow rare boxes do seem to be a lot rarer but are still there. It's worth exploring the entire wreck sites as there's a few hotspots they can turn up, the bridge used to be the most common.
Just a warning. Since 3.18.2 this site is no longer "easy". There are hostile pirates on the ground you need to eliminate and there is a cutty black with turret gunner that lands next to the site and just watches the sky's for any ship from the top turret which has I believe 2 size 4 laser repeaters on it. I died 3 times trying to explore here until I figured it out. 1. Fly into the area but dont land. Hover around until you see the 2 or 3 pirates. Kill them from ship. 2. Land and loot their bodies and return to the ship. The act of landing summons the cutty. 3. Wait in your ship a few minutes for the cutty to arrive. Make sure you are fully powered on sheilds. As soon as you hear contact, lift off but stay low to the ground. 4. Point in the direction of of the cutty. Their turret is on top, so you will not be fired apon as long as you are under it. 5. Blow it away. It takes 4 Attrition II missles and some Laser gunning to kill a cutty that is at 100%
You actually missed a puzzle in the drive section of the Catepiller on Wala. It's a puzzle with the door switches to get through to the upper hallway and the command module. No exterior jumping needed.
When you go up the ladder in the engineering section, there’s a button panel that opens a door, it opens two doors simultaneously. There’s a puzzle involved that allows you to open the sealed doors to go up the stairs to the bridge. It’s an alternative to jumping.

I know 3.19 is out now and it's been a year, however, this is great. I've attempted to loot those locations before, but never saw a box. I obviously wasn't doing something right. It's easy finding videos where people do the wrecks, but they don't explain much. So this helped a lot. I did try a few things like shooting out those blue chemlight looking things. There is a sound of power being shut down so that might open something. I never found out. I needed some rest. Thanks again for an awesome video.
Just explored a wreck and it was entirely empty. Got stuck exploring one of the midsections and couldn't get free. Will have to keep trying. Was easy to find, even at night.
to get that door in caterpillar.. you dont have to jump. inside you close the second door so the other one opens, then you switch another switch so the way in opens.
Nice video. Artimex is quite easy to get if you're willing to eat a crime stat. Go to Security Depot Hurston 1, murder everyone inside, and take care to use a knife on the Artimex-clad Hurston defender. You can then clear your crimestat in the same location, and loot the body when you're done. It's a unique color of Artimex.
The Red Wind packages runs spawn the Elite guards at any bunker the mission takes you to. Half the time the pirates will get them and you can loot it worry free.
That’s pretty much what I do. But over at the Calliope wreck find it easier to get too as you can go to om-5 and it’s easy to see the land feature where it is. Yeah I wasn’t sure if it was just my connie not spawning with the gear down 🤣 good to know. I also bed log and re spawn on either ‘Australian or USA servers when most would be asleep seems to be less that the boxes have already been looted. Always well reds and every 2-3 server hops a yellow. 👍 great video.
Great Video, I sub'ed. I'm sad that others will know about it now, especially pirates (both human and NPC) who lay in wait at these wreck sites. I've only done wrecks a handful of times but have died to pirates at least every other time I visited them. I will probably wait a while before I visit this site.
7:05 wrong. Those doors are a puzzle where each door button opens one door and closes another, so you have to press the buttons in the right order so that the right doors are open to the bridge.
With servers being so unreliable right now and you and your ship spawning at the wrong home base - inventory disappearing from ships and other storage spaces and or just being regularly disconnected - it's best not to do any mining, looting or deliveries right now - unless you're extremely patient and don't mind wasting hours of your time.
@@mattgoldstone8350 - yep it looks good but it far from a good experience. It's still alpha - and will be for a few more years based on the exceptionally slow current rate of development. So sadly I wouldnt get your hopes up that it's going to massively improve for at least a few years.
I try this wreck site (in the ptu), and there is something like a bug when you try to go where you jumped. In fact, i was incapacitated whitout any reason. I activated a beacon and my rescuer died just in approching my place. I try again after regeneration, and get the same result. Just to say that i was killed each time i tried to go aroud the wreck. It's really anoying, and i hope that CIG will to solve this kind of "buggy game behavior". I will try it again in the pu the next time, but at this time, it's impossible for me to use this place.
whats the average spawn rate of the rare loot box? have been doing this for about 2h and only got a few red ones with some helmets in it and mostly nerv guns...

I like the cape. Would be nice to have customisable capes for team ID purposes. Each ream member would wear the same cape. Would be a good way to personalise unifiorms. Maybe come up with team logos.
The game is so clunky and buggy on feet that even this is a huge struggle, my ship despawn for no reason, the muti tool suddenly isn't usable anymore because it keeps immediately holstering as soon as I try to use it, for no reason, I pass through a wall and get stuck in levitation, game client crashes or 30K and I loose everything, or sometimes I do a successful loot but then when I log out in bed and log back in I lost a good chunk of what I just looted, disappeared from the ship inventory for no reason, usually the items I was the most interested in... All in all I manage to keep only about 15% of the loot, all the rest I loose to these problems. Super frustrating and not fun at all.
Yeah ive had this game going on 4 years and cannot even fathom how people get so lucky to be able to play hours on end and actually complete missions & get loot.... it makes me feel like they're all either lying to me or themselves lmao.
When's the last time you did a character reset? You'll only lose fps gun ammo, med, oxygen and drug pens, you keep armor and guns. And set your graphics settings in game to high or very to make game actually run on gpu.
I feel like some of this is what my machine is able to cache. I crash a lot when I first go to a place, but after I've been there frequently it's pretty smooth.

Usually after updates shaders are compiled by your machine based on new game data and it takes a little bit for them to compile but once they are the game renders quicker. Im able to run at 30fps on stations and 60+fps in bunkers on a newer i5 laptop with a gtx1660ti mobile chipset. Just sometimes have to force your machine to do what it's suppose to do.
Very late to this party but having seen this the day I went there three times, there's a mission that sends you there as well, I fell over and was incap two times and dead once. Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong? Falling in low gravity while wearing armour seems to me to be a very low risk thing!
same me , each time 3 blue boxes only , from like 15 attempts seen one red crate which i accidentally dropped and it felt through the ground , so i dont even know what was inside, it is just not worts losing a time on wrecks , i tried spam even the daymar ones and not a single red crate there where usualy was 2 of them 3 weeks ago.
Lately, logging out in the bed while landed causes the ship to despawn once trying to leave the planet. I have no idea why. But it only happens when i do a bed log.
seats like the 100 series - getting out of them feels like a half dead 90 year old trying to get up out of the seat - they need to make that animation take far less time.
Can't make the jump up on the ship. I brought the Mule there and backed it up to the engine area but when I exited the ship it tilted down under the ship upside down. Bummer.

This spot has gotten so hot - ships constantly poofing in and out of existence. Also everyone is hostile here, seems like they're hoping for a quick loot off someone. luckily I unloaded but I was attacked on 2 different servers at this location
How is it when I do exactly as you do, fly up put gear down and fly down to land then get out after putting engines off the ship dissappears? This happened 3 times now
If you keep a corpse on your ship, it counts it as "crew" and will never despawn your ship. I use tractorbeam gun and grab a dead pirate or guard from a easy mode bunker.

What's the respawn time? I got the executive gold armour helm from bunker red box That rifle is most common found gun in bunker missions. Lodestone armour and guns also from bunker red boxes

I looted box and then came back to my ship to unload but everything I placed in my backpack inventory is gone somehow/ what bug is this ? can i get these items back somehow ? also I cant put any boxes on my ship they just fall thru he ship and ground later. no matter how many times I relog
What do you do with the bowes that show up in wrecks? I had 6 or 7 at one point but no one in chat had any idea what to do with them. I only had the option of picking it up and putting them down.

no , it will be kept with long persistence ingame but when CIG do the comlete wipe as they do usually by a year or so , you will got only pledged stuff then
The loot box spawns everywhere have been nerfed. These days it is common to do a bunker mission and not find one single loot box. Red loot boxes in bunkers are now also rare compared to before.
absolutely all loot was nerfed , even post kareah , 3 weeks ago was there 15 crates from which 5 red sub ones , now only the grey boxes , not even the small ones , was like 10 of them there now 1 if you lucky , those with helings , cryptokeys and that , same in bunkers less boxes , crap loot too , same on mining outposts there now not spawning the smallboxes greeen with healings and other useful stuff , only white ones , and sometimes red ones , with low chance for special loot.

What's the new hot spot? I've searched dozens and have only found 2 of the normal red crates (both had 4 nerf guns and an undersuit) and zero yellows
I haven't found a yellow box since 3.17.1 went live. A couple of reds, but no yellows.
can you use the tractor beam and bring the box (and all of it's loot inside) to your ship?

i think its the fires ine area from the wreck and they are kind of around the flare looking things... you will die all the time now.

Thanks for the guide. Unfortunely the log out on ground caused the error 30009 for me. So i guess i have to reset my charakter.
In case anybody is curious: I was able today (2022-10-02 on 3.17.2) to locate a yellow box at this wreck on EU servers.

@Bobmich What happens to the items that you don't want to sell when they do a server wipe will they disappear?
Ehm... the point of a server wipe is to... wipe, so of course those items will be lost. That's what resetting progression means.
What do you do with the bowes that show up in wrecks? I had 6 or 7 at one point but no one in chat had any idea what to do with them. I only had the option of picking it up and putting them down.
Those are probably boxes for missing delivery missions.

Unfortunately it seems the Loot table has been changed I tried it 10 times and all I got was some crap like the Nerf Guns and a few nice Helmets ...

I guess this site has been nerfed, checked in today, only 1 red box with toy blasters
absolutely all loot was nerfed , even post kareah , 3 weeks ago was there 15 crates from which 5 red sub ones , now only the grey boxes , not even the small ones , was like 10 of them there now 1 if you lucky , those with helings , cryptokeys and that , same in bunkers less boxes , crap loot too , same on mining outposts there now not spawning the smallboxes greeen with healings and other useful stuff , only white ones , and sometimes red ones , with low chance for special loot.
