Incorrect to say peace was disrupted for the Incas when the Spanish arrived; part of the reason the Incan empire was easily colonized by the Spanish was because of the conflict and instability it was experiencing at the time

Correction: Hispaniola is not called Haiti. It’s two separate countries: Dominican Republic and Haiti.

Indigenous/Native Americans being referred as Indians in the video sounds so odd when Spanish never met actual Indians the whole time which was good for the Indians as the tiny part of India that did saw colonisation from the other Iberian power the Portuguese experienced a horrible Inquisition.

Indians or Amerindians is a better term.

@@snakey934Snakeybakey But how is Indians better when they're not from India? It sounds quite odd though. Indigenous or Native Americans make sense since they're indigenous or native to the Americas.

@@NikhileshSurve yes but it also implies that mestizos whites blacks and others are not.
To put this on context, the Maori have inhabited New Zealand for about as long is there have been European colonists in the Americas, and the Zulu have been in South Africa for even less.

@@snakey934Snakeybakey I'm not sure if I'd be able to show you my perspective about it but I'll try. I'm only referring to whoever may be inhabiting the particular land before & still exists today compared to others who may be inhabiting there now.
Mestizos/mixed race, whites/Europeans & blacks/Africans in America imo are no different from mixed race, blacks/Africans, Arabs, Asians, etc in Europe even if many of them may be inhabiting in Europe for some centuries. But I'd agree that a big difference is that indigenous/native Europeans are still a majority in Europe while non Europeans or perhaps non indigenous Europeans may be a significant minority in many parts of Europe.
I'd say Maoris are indigenous to New Zealand even if Europeans lived longer in Americas. I'd say Danish people being in Faroe Islands is not the same as Danish people being in Greenland. Zulus not being native to South Africa imo is similar to some Ethiopian ethnicities may not be native to Ethiopia, English may not be native to Britain or Castillians to many parts of Spain or Scandinavians to Northern Scandinavia. They're from my perspective still Africans in Africa & Europeans in Europe.

@@NikhileshSurve That's understandable. The problem is you'd be hard pressed to find a single nation on earth who did not conquere the land where they live from someone else.
And there is something of a double standard as well. I.e. The Zulu migrated to South Africa in the 1800s and conquered land from other tribes. The Afrikaaners meanwhile began migrating there in the 16th or 17th century. But one is seen as indigenous while the other is not

these maps are sloppy and misleading at many points. and your history is just English propaganda, honestly. terribly simplistic and one-sided, and by that i'm not saying it was pro-native american, i mean it is one sided Anglo-American "black legend" exagerated slander of the spanish, while conveniently air-brushing their own brutal conquest of north america. i'm sure you can do better with your sources.
