Man I wish sega or sonic team or whoever is in charge of the sonic comics and games would just bring them back already. I really don't want to be old a grey if they ever do decide to bring them back.
Sometimes I wonder about the at timeline where Sega went ahead with Madonna as Sonic's girlfriend. The franchise would be in a VERY different place today.
I have to say that the mini-series meet and the Genesis-wave meet are both more consistent than the other times Sonic and Sally met. However, I like to merge those two versions of their meet-up into one in my headcanon where the events of Spinball make sense (which is due to Sally and the Freedom Fighters' cameos in that game).
It's crazy how his interest with Amy is always portrayed as... just annoyed towards her. Never , or so rarely something better. But that's who Amy is... immature and annoying. While everytime there's Sally... there's passion. Because that's who she is. A passionate leader.
you should watch Dimitri Monroe's video about how ian Flynn doesn't understand the character Amy rose and relationship of sonic and Amy. It will give you an insite of who Amy truly is as a great character and sonic's relationships with Amy stands to be in the japanese side. While I agree Sally is a great character, I believe amy rose is a also a great character as well. You just have to dig deeper to understand amy as a character.
Personally I feel that issue 226 was the perfect way for Sonic meeting Sally and the Freedom Fighters. I don’t know how to explain it, but it feels kinda Sonic-esque? Maybe it has something to do with how Sally and Rotor are based off of Ricky and Rocky (even though Rocky is actually a seal) and how Sonic rescued them like how he would at the end of a boss fight in the classic Sonic games. If they ever get reintroduced into the mainline Sonic series, their first encounter should be something like issue 226.
I do have a question for you i know you are more of an archie sonic fan from what i can tell and what this whole channel is about but have you read IDW sonic by any chance?
This is the best dynamic in Archie.

@@Karessertin103 No you don't, Amy is a walking anime trope & Sonic Team never wrote their characters as anything deeper than that.
@@StarWolf5298 whatever you say, I was just recommending something no need to get all like that, my bad
