it is so chilling how the Cenobites are bound by actual rules. and when they have someone in their grasp it is utterly inescapable, because thems the rules.
No one will ever be as good as these two, although, I think the actor who portrayed the latest Pinhead did a decent enough job. It was a different take on Pinhead for sure, but I thought the androgynous look perfectly suited a movie like Hellraiser. The films frequently heavily delve into themes surrounding sex and sexuality, and I can picture a Cenobite being both masculine and feminine at the same time. These beings are reflections of human sexuality, so it makes sense that at least the main Cenobite is both a male and female at the same time. Doug Bradley will always be Pinhead, but I can respect the craft of the actor who played this version of Pinhead. He/she was eerie, sinister and yet gentle looking at the same time. That being said, my favorite Hellraiser will always be the first. I thought it was the pinacle of the series.
I rented this movie back when it came out. On the director commentary, it was stated that they could've done a story about Kirsty and what her life was like after the first two Hellraisers, but they decided against that because they didn't want to leave anyone who hadn't seen the first two movies out of the loop. Now that was a mistake! Kirsty is the only character that anyone cared about in this movie besides pinhead. A wasted opportunity.
@@regianenascimentooficial the only real time he probably could have been considered a slasher was in hellrsaiser 3 hell on earth But this fitting, especially for Trevor.

This one and Inferno are sort of well liked across the board, but the others were quite bad. 3 and 4 get deserved criticism as well. Judgement flies under the radar but was quite good and has its own cult following for it.
It has pinhead tacked on to another horror movie. Really think about how easy it is to remove pinhead from this movie. It does nothing to further the lore. Kirtsy opening the box does not make a ton of sense either. If cartman popped out the end and said respect my authority I would not consider it South Park either.
I think the later movies get more criticism than they deserve. Yeah they were barely Hellraiser stories before they tied in the cenobites, but I think that works. Sorta like in the old Hellraiser comics, everyone has their own hell, their own path to it.
I honestly don’t care how bad any of the other Hellraiser films are. Pinhead may be a scary villain, but he’s also a little bit of a morality teacher to those who are corrupt and evil and would rightfully punish them for their unrepentance. This is proof.
Actually this is pretty cool its in a way following clive barkers book hellbound heart in which kirsty cotten eventually makes a deal with pinhead(hellpreist) to become the new pinhead and he becomes mortal Elliott Spencer again on earth
IIRC Kirsty shouldn't have been punished as it doesn't make sense? She was tricked into doing it and I'm pretty sure opening the box by proxy is an exception. 'It is not hands that call us, it is desire'?
She was quite curious about the box and what it does. It takes that desire and intrigue to figure out the puzzle but the reward is not something you'd expect, and you cannot go back.
5:51 “You have seen many things that you will wish you had not” 6:02 “Many nightmares from which you will NEVER awake” 6:38 “Welcome to the worst nightmare of all. REALITY”
So obvious the chemistry between Pinhead and Kirsty! They really should have become a couple and they could rule Hell together in love with each other and of course in love with the exquisite suffering 😮😅😮. Like Clarice Sterling and Hannibal Lector, ❤ is everything!
@Whoopee Camara so kirsty murdered Trevor's 3 mistresses. That kinda makes her a petty pos in this movie. Trevor and that other guy had it coming, though
Doug Bradley iz pinhead , like Brad Douriff iz chucky 😉 no one can replace them 😉, also Kane Hodder as Jason Voorhees or Robert England as Freddy Kuegger 😉💯
This movie did have some great lines and an interesting concept, also nice to see kirsty back. However it was very similar to part 5 and seemed to move away from the themes created in the first movie.
Chucky... 100% killable. Freddy.... don't fall asleep and you're Guccie. Jason... stay outta the woods and you're good. Play with the box, you're completely fucked.
The funny thing is there is a ring of truth in this. The lament configuration can be likened to an Ouija board. You open it, they come, but in return they take something with them. The paranormal and demonic realm works the same way. Don't mess with the forbidden fruits of life. As God said be babes to what is bad but become full grown to what is good. Remember curiosity kills the cat. Sometimes I find in some of these later hellraiser movies there's a moral to the story. The first 2 didn't really make that much sense. I think The Hellraiser inferno was a good one because it set the example of modern day nosey detectives and the expedient outcome of those that pursue an arrogant course that can lead to family shipwreck. Even though gory it shows the meat hook reality of a corrupt cop or detective.

That was due to the training AllState gave him as a representative. Who do you think the High Table hires for their insurance contracts?
