@@Zenbone now Gold I could understand... they had a string of great luck with team mates maybe. were happy to 2v1 everyone. But diamond? How did you make it up there? They inevitably end up being the worst at actually trying to save goals as well haha.
The “Quick Thinking” segment is the best way to describe game sense. Knowing where everyone is and everything that’s going on simply by using your senses and just having experience in certain situations
Wayton you're so good at pointing out those details that i always felt were missing in other RL tutorial videos. Many seem kind of disconnected from the place that those who first learn something new are in, a place where the awareness for certain details of that situation is not present yet. it really feels like you're not missing out on any in-between steps in any of your tutorials. Your videos are exactly how i would want to make them, they're really really good!
Another thing I learnt way to late was to double-flip for speed. Its super easy an without it its impossible to reach a rank beyond gold. So if you see this and you dont do it already, start now!
I may not be a new player, but watching your videos has really helped me improve in Rocket League, as I was able to reach Platinum II. I know it isn't very high of a rank, but I was happy to see that I was making some progress after training and watching your vids. Thanks so much.
Hi I'm a new player, I've been watching a lot of RL videos including yours, and this one is the most helpful! Some things I already realized but some things I was wondering about, like better to slow down to stay in position. Thanks!
Thank you wayton. Both you and and thanovic have been the top sources for me when it comes to getting better at rocket league. I don't think I'd ever get to diamond without watching your videos. You guys are the real mvps and your channels are way underrated and deserve more subs
Thank you for your tips. I'm 2 months old into RL, and some of these tips are super helpful to me. The positioning and momentum example was extremely relatable and I have made that mistake so many times despite knowing backpost to be the key position there. I hope I'll be able to improve much sooner after watching these tips. Also looking forward to your dribbling video, as I really want to learn it, but struggle a lot at the moment.
I installed RL less than 1 month ago and you are one of my top 3 YTer to learn from. So big thanks for your advices. I'm far from playing with my Champion friends but one step at a time as it says.
Those tips are so well explained and helpful, thanks man. I've discovered your channel yesterday and currently watching all your vids, you're doing an insane job, keep it up 👌
How do you do a Barrel roll dodge straight forward? You keep doint that over and over in your videos and when I do a side flip it always goes waay off to the side. For example at 07:10 It looks like you are side flipping but your momentum goes forward instead of sideways. Does it only look that way or what am I missing?
Tip 3 is huge to know.... I made it to Plat and stared to fall off, because I was playing to fast... Once I slowed down and got back to a more defensive game I was back to scoring more goals, bigger hits and more saves...
My son plays the game and I am fascinated by it so I watch videos from time to time, but most times I am bewildered by tutorials and their tips are fuzzy. This video however is SO MUCH BETTER. It's SUPER clear and well explained. And the tips look GREAT. As an analyst programmer whose job it is to make the complex simple and know just what to present to make it work without complicating I can appreciate the tremendous amount of work and thought that went into the making of this video - including the home-made examples of play where you hadn't got good clips already. Subscribed with a salute.
I have been playing this game for 1 month and was looking for tips everywhere but couldn't get this much amount of knowledge ever. Thanks for this video man.. it's simply awesome. Do make more videos..it will be fun to watch ✌🏻
The thing about watching players better is slowly implementing what you can do. Obviously you won't have the mechanics but you can copy the rotations and boost management and decision making.
I'm not a new player, but the timing your arrivals concept is a really good one that I could definitely implement to improve my game. It's really something I never thought of but makes perfect sense.
I have been playing rocket League for about a month noe and actually found it easier to learn the fast aerial first but still your Chanel is the best for tips I swear!!!
Im a new player, like 11 hours new lol . Thank you for these videos its helping me get better, went from no ball control to being able to score once in awhile lmao
I’ve been playing for not even a week but I knew what to do for some of these tips from nature. I usually stand back when the ball goes into the corner just in case it gets passed to me and it works out pretty well. The aerial control taking months to learn isn’t a problem knowing that I might be playing this game every day until I get Cold War. And btw the quick thinking does kinda apply to warzone too
As a new RL player I was looking for some tips. I feel like all the other ones put either way too much info in it or tips that I don't know how to execute. I liked this one a lot more. Things like the serial and the backplate thing are very easy to implement into a beginners play without too much instructions. Somebody just has to tell you that. Also, well described, good pace. I wish for more! Thank you!
Leth has been emphasizing the lay back strategy of just letting them hit and throw away thr ball or let thr play develop for a better reaction instead of crashing in. Good for all levels
I don't wanna boast or anything but I figured out all of these myself :D I never really watched a tutorial on how to do anything, just out of stubbornness (I thought that it isn't worth putting this much effort into the game and I could learn everything myself if I just pay attention to the little things). Turns out yeah, you can learn everything by yourself, by just playing & practicing. One crucial thing, though, is that you have to learn from your mistakes, keep improving. Also, I saw that in this game, every single little tiny touch matters very much, so try to be extra careful with your touches - how hard you hit the ball, how you catch it, where do you make contact with it, how much input do you press in order to adjust your car (both on the ground and in the air), boost management, etc... Anyway, I kind of felt happy when I saw things that now come naturally to me like the 3rd tip, that back post rotation example was excellent. The explanation was also very well made, although it might be pretty hard to understand at first for someone who doesn't know about it.
I am not new player, but even I got useful tips in this video. Thanks! Really liked idea to watch replays 10x when I got caught of guard. You could make a video how to learn to keep momentum after bumps. I have watched other videos, but still have trouble learning it.
With Ball Cam orientation, what helps me understand where I’m going better is visualizing like a circular path around the car. So turning right would always ensure that my path around that circle takes a CLOCKWISE orientation, regardless of whether my car was facing north (forwards) or south (backwards) of the screen. The contrary would be true if I were to take a left turn. The car would now move in an ANTI-CLOCKWISE direction around that circular path regardless of car position. This is true for those who drive using google maps for example and sometimes the map doesn’t face the right way, and moving straight means moving downward on the map 😂
He's the great info given for tips in any way😊 he mention type Of info needed and every vids he upload is markable I love it keep it up. I net while i was looking for tips for silver than i met u what a grace🌼😊
When you were talking about the front and back pets of the car, what training pack was that? Can I have the code because I want to get better at ariels
I'd like to put a tip Wayton missed about Car Cam / Ball Cam. You can also while using car cam click the Right Stick to flip the camera behind you. This serves as an additional way to look for opponents as he put it. This helps when I'm certain the opponent I'm looking for is somewhere behind me as I'm driving forward.
This is the most informative sht ever. Thx so much dude. This helps a bunch(started 2 weeks ago and im silver 2 and tilt cuz i never know what im doing)
About positioning and momentum.... I'm still new to rocket league but I don't think you should ever stop completely. There are too many people out there that will just blow you up to screw up any pass/shot you might make. Also, please don't go for boost on kickoff. If your team mate messes up or it's just an unlucky kickoff, you can't possibly make it back to get the save.
I think one of the most important tips for when to go into car cam is when the ball is right on front of you and you're going to hit it. It makes it easier to hit.
