- In this DIY video I build a wooden #lathe. I used very hard #plywood to make this lathe. Building a bit long, but it was worth it. Because I built a very robust lathe machine. It was a handy lathe machine. You can make this homemade lathe as a DIY project . I hope you enjoy the first part.
PART #2 : • Wooden Lathe Making 2 ...

Wow!
Thanks for your tutorial! I built a version of this from your video.
Kudos for getting your original tailstock bearing design operational. I attempted your original design only to chuck a piece of wood across the shop. I went with a modified bearing-in-block design that was a bit more reliable
Nice work!
Tek kelimeyle bravo! Tebrik ederim, PDF lerle birlikte harika bir çalışma.
Teşekkür ederim.
FELICITACIONES!!! muy bueno!

cool video
I loved this idea 💡 thanks
Thanks for watching. Glad you like it.
I think the machine bed is best done whole.
DIY - se tiver todas as outras ferramentas
Nice job well done
Thank you so much. I am very glad that you like it.
Muy Bueno Amigo. You have my respect for creativity. I would like to watch you making your clamps. The long (good) clamps are very expensive. Your clamps seem just as good. Keep up the good work. A gringo in Idaho. God Bless.
Hello friend, thank you for your comment. Have you looked at these videos? ua-cam.com/video/zNrEcNd5gCg/v-deo.html
Great build. :)
10:31 corrected 12x37x12 mm (Thanks Ayhan Şimşir)
Excellent work Sir. Good to have one in the workshop. Please share the plans 👍
would love to make my own lathe.
Ingenious. I'll be using your ideas in my own project. I want to make a ship wheel for each of my kids, grandkids, brother, etc. But, I want to also make the lathe that turns the spokes. I'll likely use bearing housing from a local Bearings and Drives but you've given us the basis for our own builds and that is what is most important. Share our ideas, and we ALL benefit. I'll also have to change up the dimensions for we in the USA, but that is a very small task.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
I'm glad you liked it. Thank you for watching and commenting. Sorry I could only give the dimensions in metric. I wish you success in your new projects. I hope you enjoy your work a lot. My deepest regards.
@@GreenSaw No. Thank you for the ideas. I'll deal with the measurements here in the USA. THAT'S WHAT WE HAVE GOOGLE FOR!!!! There are things I'll change just because I can just go buy them, such as bearings, etc. and I might add a vacuum chuck, but the basic premise will be your plans. Hey, life is a work in progress. But my kids will know the thought, with a little bit of blood that went into the process.
Tebrikler
Awesome build 👌👌love it Sir!😊
Thank you....
süpersin ustam
sorry i found them thanks ..great job

Kolay gelsin.
Great job, some interesting ideas here.
It looks like it is turning too fast though? 300 - 2400 rpm should be the range for wood lathes.
Thanks for the tips!
Amazing! Your creativity is next-level!
Thanks.
Donde descargo los planos PDF. No he podido
süper
y el pdf? jamas pude bajarlo.....
very nice build sir.. hope to see the plans... thank you
El plan estará listo en unos días.

awesome job man. this is definitely one of the best designed DIY wooden lathe I've seen on YT. and believe me there are a lot of them out there and most are just plain crap.
Thank you for your nice comment :)

Great build, I believe I can make one out of (mostly) metal after watching this project. The first tail stock looked wobbly, and the second (alternate) one was not clear how you made it (was it a dead center or a live center?) Did you fix the wobble of the first one and how?
I'm glad you like it. It's been a long time since I made the lathe. Unfortunately, I had to say goodbye to it when I moved my workshop. I can't remember what I'm doing now. No one but you has asked about it. Have you watched the video series in full? The answer may be in the videos.
Used motor hp please
thanks for the reply- when i click on the pdf link it seems just to play the video
