D&D Road Tour Ep. 10 - 4 Wide Drag Races // Amazing Food!!

The final stop on the Donuts and Diners RV Road Tour concluded at the Z-Max Dragway in Concord, North Carolina. We had the opportunity to attend the 4-Wide National Drag Races and we couldn't pass it up! If you are a motor sports fan in any capacity, you wouldn't want to miss an event like this and let me tell you...it didn't disappoint. From freakishly fast motorcycles to 11,000 horsepower monster top fuel dragsters and funny cars, there was something for everyone.
Come along with us as we enjoy the on-track racing and the behind the scenes action in the pits to see where the real magic happens.
If you have never had the opportunity to see an event like this in person, you can't describe the excitement and raw power that hits you from every side. You can literally feel the vibration throughout your whole body. Imagine sitting at the starting line waiting for the light to hit green. The instant it does you mash the pedal to the floor and hit over 300 miles per hour in less than a quarter of a mile! Now that's unreal -- some might even say insane. But for the few brave and talented men and women who get behind the wheel, they get to do something that most of us will only dream of. From the smoke to the flames to the nitro burning the hair on the inside of your nose, it is truly an experience for the senses.
One of the senses you may not associate with a major NHRA event like this is the sense of taste, but everywhere I go, my nose seems to sniff out the absolute best goodies around. This venue was definitely up to par with everything from ice cream to hot dogs to pizza to Texas BBQ to Greek to Nachos to one of my favorites...gourmet funnel cakes! We found out that Fun•Oh•Cakes out of Charlotte, North Carolina makes some of the most scrumptious (and messy I might add) cakes you'll ever put in your mouth.
