Nice to see this testing brother. I have heard and been noticing the Remington now owned by the Czech, corelock is very accurate. The ammo isn't the issue it is always the harmonics caused by the ammo for barrels. A SIMS harmonic dampner would change the results but looks funky on the barrels
This rifle has never really liked Remington loads for whatever reason. I typically get really nice results from the Core-Lokts, so I was surprised that this rifle didn't really like them
This rifle didn't really like the 80gr Remingtons either, which kinda surprised me based on the results I typically see from the Core-Lokts in other calibers
Haha yep, it has been a while since we brought out any centerfire stuff. I plan on doing more rifle testing when the new year rolls around. I just so happened to get half a box of these, so I figured I'd bring them out and try them
Uncle has a Remington 700 adl from the 50s and it don't matter what you feed it it'll dime them at 100. All guns are different and that's why they make more than one weight and style of bullet
Yep, they are all different, so you never know what your setup is gonna like best. This rifle typically shoots MOA groups easily with most loads, but it hasn't liked either of the Remington loads I've tried in it
From what I remember, I can get roughly 1 inch groups out of the federal power shok 100gr loads from this rifle. It definitely liked them way better than these
Great test. Nice rifle! Rifle shooting is not easy at times! Heck any gun accurately.... But there will be keyboard warriors who will try to instruct from behind the screen 😂😂 Good job Matt👍👍👍👊
Thanks, it's definitely a nice setup! I'm fully expecting the keyboard warriors as usual with rifle tests like this. I'm no military sniper, but I can hold my own. I'm well acquainted with this rifle and know that it's very capable of .6" groups with the right ammo, so it just didn't really like these rounds
I picked up a .243 a few years ago (couldn't pass it up for the money) sat in the safe until now. The older I get recoil is a bigger factor. I've not shot Remington ammo for years. Never had much success with one exception. 55gr .223 in my H&R. Then again, it shoots anything 62& under pretty darn good. I'm gonna give them one more chance. Sweet gun BTW.
We have had really quite good accuracy out of Core Lokt over the years. Especially when we handloaded with them. Thank you.
I typically see nice results from them as well, but this rifle has never really liked any of the Remington loads I've tried in it for whatever reason

I have an old Howa 1500 in 243 and it absolutely loves the 100 grain koreloks

@matttyreeoutdoors I've been shooting 87 grain vmax hand loads and they are sub moa
I had to look twice there as it is centrefire not shotguns lol, I thought it was a mason leather video he is doing 243 at the moment.

The .243 is a great cartridge. My R700 Classic in the caliber was my favorite. Sadly I don't have it anymore.
Yep, I enjoy running a 243 as well. Makes for a great 200 yard bean field cartridge

I shoot a Remington model 700..243win…. 24” barrel.. mine loves federal power shok 100gr..

Yea sir.. try you some federal power shok 80gr..
Great test. Nice rifle!

Yep, a 243 is very nice in the recoil department
Long time Rifle testing
Yeah, it has been a while since we've tested any rifles. I definitely plan on testing more soon though
80gr ttsx Barnes factory load. done.
I haven't tried any of those through this rifle yet, but I definitely will try them if I find some
Painful groups.
Yeah, it was definitely a little bit of a letdown
