@@Nightcrawler666 Years ago I had a Renault Laguna company car. I was told by the garage that a cam belt change was just over six hours as it was necessary to drop the engine almost all the way out of the car to take the cam belt cover off!
Wet belt gone on a focus ecoboost 2013 is it toast? Heard different views if it’s a interference engine or not, I know you don’t bullshit so any idea be much appreciated 🙏 most garages just wanna bullshit and take ya cash
Hi, I've not actually done one of those. I do the Transits though. However I asked my mates in the Garage next door & they said they are an interference engine. I've seen them do a few. Not when the belt has gone. They've done a few when customers state oil light comes on ect. The strainer in sump is usually blocked up. So if a belt went, the valves would more than likely hit the pistons. I've done a few Vauxhall vivaro vans that happened to when the timing chain snaps. I wouldn't take on one of those now though. So basically you'd need some head work & some new valves. You could put a camera in to see how bad things are first to get an idea. Then make a decision on which way to go.
Thanks
Chris!!!!! 😃 thanks dude. That's very kind of yoooo.
🤣🤣🤣 Well done Ford. You can either make it very easy to do a job, or very hard.... or, in this case... BOTH!
I come to expect this type of behaviour on a French vehicle, but wasn't expecting it on this.

@neilmackinnon3371 I don't think I've done one. Hopefully they are all scraped now.
Can we not go back to mk2 Cortinas and open the windows with winders. Having said that, they cost more than that one.
I know what you mean.
