The world would be in absolute chaos. That's why we have rules, laws, principles, morals. doing what we want, whenever we want without taking into consideration other people is catastrophic. I can't even imagine why would a person want to live controlled by desire and impulse.
@@XaviMMMM This movie is no Disney movie and it's meant to be "disturbingly truthful" and want also to offer an interesting and unusual point of view from a newborn mind in an afterlife body. I watched this movie because of the shorts and all the comments were pretty good. Thank god I did! Hands down favorite movie! I thought it was going to be a weird movie with a bunch of boring pauses.. it’s definitely weird but in the best way possible and fricken hysterical, and deep at the same time.
Oh, that's so good to hear! The book is one of my absolute all-time favorite books ever...I've been so scared the movie version would let me down, but I don't think so now!! ❤❤❤
@@wetisback Have you read the book it's based on? The book is really disturbing and very strange...I adore it, but it's definitely unsettling to say the least.

idkk why, normally i really looove alternative movies and i so support artistic film. but this one creeped me out & i had nightmares and gave me really strange vibes (also the fact that she was particularly a minor when ykwhat…)
Same. I saw the importance of the sex scenes, but still thought they were a bit much. Same with the gore. Overall a great movie, but overwhelming when watched in cinema
I saw a vlip where they talk about oral sex at dinner.. I wasn't sure about the movie, but that scene made me decide NO! Why can't Hollywood and woke actors make something interesting without vulgarity?
Emma's performance deserves an Oscar. This character represents the archetype of the 'child' and the 'seeker', that is, the explorer of life, who, thanks to the brain of a child, can experience life free from any social and cultural conditioning, which Buffalo instead shows, in every moment in which he thinks he can dominate her.
From sexual exploitation from a young girls age ( remember the historical time period ) to a full , hard earned self dignity. What do you critics want? CINDERELLA? THIS IS ONE FINE, FINE STORY ON SO MANY LEVELS.
Is prostitution a hard earned self dignity? Its the easiest and dirtiest way for any woman to earn money. Then I guess you all had loved your mothers, grandmothers and sisters doing it for a living. What a bunch of hypocrites.
Ah yes, it sounds so much more admirable to say one is "exploring" something. exploring sexuality, for instance. But would we feel the same about someone exploring honesty, exploring loyalty? It presents more as an excuse to do something and then claim it was educational, as if no other consequences should be attached.
Soundtrack is underrated.
based.
It's nominated for an Oscar lol not really
Emma Stone is underrated.
That soundtrack should be on weirder movie like sci fi. This Bella is just a sl*t baby
Where are you going so based?
Why is no one talking about Willem Dafoe's character in this movie which was outstanding!
Ikr❤
I agree!
Completely agree. Stone and Ruffalo deserved all the praise they have gotten, but Dafoe definitely somehow got lost in praise - he was magnificent!!!
I can't imagine anyone else playing Bella. What a delight!
A young Sissy Spacek

Bella Baxter is a truly inspirational character. We could all do with taking a leaf out of her book in learning to live freely!

I luv the soundtrack sm. It gives me a weird, familiar vibe, even though I can't associate it with anything I've watched or heard before.

I have just seen this movie yesterday. Emma is FANTASTIC.
The Movie is a AMAZING.
10/10 for me.
Everyone saying this is 10/10 plain crazy. Film and character are totalling disturbing, nothing good to get from.

For us the OSCAR GOES TO POORE THINGS
Oscar Winning performance!!!
This is most definetly the pinnacle of her carreer
She is amazing actress portraying this bizarre character! Well done, Bella!
Brilliant film, I could watch her all day!
Extraordinary film and cast and costumes, cinematography etc etc etc.. Emma Stone was truly outstanding!
Definitely my favorite I’ve seen of the year. 😊❤
i love how she walked like she had no knee joints for the first half of the movie
that hired an amazing actress
I waited a long time, to find a movie again that i enjoyed so much! The actors, the story, the colors, the costumes, just brilliant!

I ❤️ Bella.Emma brought her to life so brilliantly✨
Everything about this movie is masterpiece. Music, acting, directing, production etc.
Fantastic film. Now one of my favourites. Everyone plays their part amazingly.
This is basically Frankenstein revisited! Loved most of it, the begining was bothersome to me for some reason but loved it when Ruffalo entered!
It s like Candide from Voltaire too, like a sort of Cunegonde POV
That makes sense😮@@karlaa5169
It’s “born sexy yesterday” revisited.
it is nothing like Shelleys work.
The movie bothering you is what makes it a success❤❤❤
Must see! Love! I will see it again.
Same here. It’s really good.
That score is sublime!!!
Brilliant movie, so visually captivating, funny, insightful and thought provoking.
Johnny depp must be watching this like in love

Emma Stone killed it in Poor Things. Oscar win #2 she got it
Such a great film. Oscar contender.
I can’t wait to see this movie!! I’m not usually in to this type of movie but the acting from what I’ve seen is superb!! I just gotta see it!!
Nice comedy, iconic photography, great performance. Recommended.

It's about child prostitution in disguise. An adult with a childish mind is a mentally disabled person and many of them are susceptible to abuse.
Same. I saw the importance of the sex scenes, but still thought they were a bit much. Same with the gore. Overall a great movie, but overwhelming when watched in cinema
And also why a woman needs to explore sex as a prostitute ? I didn't like this part of the film
Same. I really don't get why people praise this movie so much. Watching it at the cinema felt like torture.
I love artistic films too but just the trailers for this one and the synopsis creeped me out. It put me off of seeing it.
"YOU'VE HAD MONEY THIS WHOLE TIME?!"

Um. There was a scene depicting sex in front of kids in this movie. The amount of sex was really sick. Depraved!

El contenido del video muy bueno, pero no comprendo por qué el título está segmentado...si aplica para todo ser humano

But I never thought Emma Stone would be that nude, that often!!
