Man, I actually really like Swain. One of my favorite champs. Kinda unique playstyle and it feels so good to carry teamfights sometimes. Also the E+slow drag+W is really satisfying lol. But I feel like the update could have gone a bit further. But oh well, still pretty much the same Swain. Would be happy to see more Swain games if the comp calls for a drain tank, 'cause as long as your team doesn't just flat-out ignore you and fight without you, I think he's so powerful.

Also because e only does it's damage on explosion, all the damage you regularly missed on first part of e (explosion does the same as both parts used to) to actually setup an easier hit is now actually being used and you usually e snare before ulting. Therefore the combo does more damage in most cases.
Tldr changes that Pekin didn't mention: Q has lower cd, less damage on close range, more damage on long range. E on the way out is the same speed as before. However it used to be very inconsistent where it would be a few frames slower which is fixed, so it feels faster. E used to damage on the way out and explosion, where the way out was 2/3rd of the damage, now all damage comes from the explosion and it does more than before. Passive healing for per soul is lower, the hp you get back is the same. R the cd now doesn't go lower per rank, but the CD starts when you start your r in stead of when it ends.
Still watching the vid rn, so idk if you already covered it, but with the increased damage to E, it's looking like E-max second might be the move Allegedly Phreak said Q max -> 3 into W -> E max is the play, but I haven't seen where he said that nor the rationale tbh
Ability haste is NOT diminishing returns. It's 1% more ability uptime per 1 point of AH. 50 haste is therefore 33% cooldown reduction, 100 is 50%. For your Demonflare to be ready in 5 seconds, you need a total 100 ability haste + ultimate haste.
It feels like talking to a wall when explaining anything log related to the league playerbase. The fact that the numbers get smaller doesn't tell the whole truth, when the relative meaningfulness of the numbers get larger in the same scale. Still there is always someone going "You dumdum! See, first the number beeg, then the number smol!" Just give them direct % resist stats for a patch and watch them implode. Would be painful, but it seems it's the only teacher that works. Plus, it'd be funny.
P.S.: TBH I prefer getting abyssal before spirit visage tbh, I think it feels more meaningful earlier on in the game. But I'm glad you went conq path the second game for sure. Malignance is fine but I think it's kind of bait...so I also prefer liandry's first item and maybe build ligma 3rd or 4th when team fighting is happening a lot more. But liandry's just does so much, feels way better than lower ult cd IMO.
Spirit Visage is a massive trap and a somewhat terrible item on Swain. Well, it was, no way to concretely know it's status now. Though it's really common and understandable to make that mistake, as even the devs made it when designing the large full rework years ago. His R literally has a hardcoded exception for Visage passive, before the devs eventually realized that it's just thoroughly bad idea to build the item, but left it in. And it's still in Swains kit 'till this day, lol.
Past 20min buffs don't transfer anymore when you kill the buff holder. Or, more precisely, buffs that were obtained past 20min don't transfer, so until 22min there are possibly still buffs that transfer since the duration is 2min. In short, buff monsters transform at 20min and only a buff obtained from a non-transformed buff monster transfers to the enemy if you get killed. SInce after 20min buffs are global and everyone already running around with almost permanent double buffs, if they would also transfer between champions it would go from almost to literally permanent and become kind of ridiculous and meaningless.
how about half tank build? like heartsteel warmogs and tank boots with cosmic drive rylais and riftmaker? also take conditioning and overgrowth as secondary rune to make up for lack of resistances and keep presence of mind to help with mana issues
And kite away from their attack range whenever possible to make use of that CC. People land a root against melee opponents and way too often just stay standing still within their AA range just expecting them to do nothing. Good rope-a-dope is an integral part of playing Swain. Root doesn't equal stun, people!
for the second game, not being able to yoink the soul fragment when they dash is the reason i hate playing swain into ezreals as well. he can buffer the catch with his dash so the yoink cant happen :(

i miss old old swain. new swains ult sucks compared to the old one. swain was the king of aram before they reworked him, now hes just a middle of the pack scrub, just like he is on SR. his old ult had like a 5 to 10 second CD, and you could turn it on or off whenever you wanted, it was significantly better. his aoe root was way better than his current CC that launches out and pulls things back. his slow was better than his stupid long distance lightning bolt that anyone can see coming from a mile away and easily dodge, because it allowed you to easily combo the slow into a 3 second AoE root. and his Q DoT was still decent, but the current Q is probably the one and only skill that was actually made better.

I have a theory they’re changing bounties to nerf bausens law. Make the system more linear in the gold tracking to make it more difficult to abuse
