You really did Squidward dirty in this one. Let's break it down:
Squidward's garden was crushed by the very pineapple that would become Spongebob's home. Is it really a stretch that Squidward might have some negative thoughts about Spongebob when he first moved in, and Spongebob's personality clashing with his kept it pretty negative on his end? He even appeared happy before Spongebob came along. A lot of Squidward's bad attitude and grumpiness is brought on by Spongebob.
"Squidward is self obsessed and thinks he's better than everyone else"
Not necessarily true.
Sure, he tends to put himself above others, and creates artwork in his own image, but it's likely due to him simply seeing most of Bikini Bottom in a bad light.
Think about who Squidward interacts with. You've got Spongebob and Patrick, (The most annoying neighbors one could ever have) Mr. Krabs, (A greedy dirtbag who treats his employees like garbage) and the customers he serves at his job.
It's not really a terrible thing for Squid to think better of himself than his annoying neighbors and his greedy boss.

Narcissistic is a stretch. A HUGE stretch. Narcissism is not even close to what we see Squidward demonstrate.
Yes, he is sarcastic, but that has nothing to do with being "evil", or even a bad person at that.
He is rude and grumpy, but I will delve into why that is in a bit.
As for preferring time alone, aka being introverted, again, how does that relate to being evil? Plenty of people here, in the real world, are introverted. You've made a video on how evil Spongebob characters are. I'd say it's likely you're an introvert as well.
"He's always putting other people's talents down"
He only did that once, in one of the first episodes of the series, and it involved blowing bubbles.
"He gets incredibly jealous of other people's success, and isn't very good at anything himself"
You wanna know why he's jealous of other's success? It's because he doesn't get recognition for his own.
Like it or not, Squidward is a great artist. The episode 'Artist Unknown' doesn't show this very well, but remember, in 'Squidward the unfriendly ghost', he has conquered every artistic medium, including pottery, wax sculpting, hedge trimming, painting, and many more, but alas, he doesn't get any respect for his work. Yes, his clarinet playing is awful, but that's far from the only thing he tries.
"He could very easily look for another job, or move away from his loud and obnoxious neighbours"
No, no he couldn't. In the episode 'Can you spare a dime?', Squidward is accused of stealing Mr. Krabs' dime, and quits his job out of anger. We cut to a bit later, and he's homeless. Can you really look at that and say "He could easily find another job"?
It's not going to be an easy task to move away from where he lives when he's going on a cashier income that his boss cuts out as much as he can, even crossing legal boundaries. Not to mention the fact that in the episode 'Good Neighbors', Squidward is forced to do community service on every sunday for the rest of his life. He is legally bound to where he lives.
So, after seeing that, we can get a good idea of why Squidward acts the way he does.
Squidward is a failing artist, ambitions shot down at every opportunity. He works at a dead end job with people he hates, and has no way out of it. He paints portraits of himself, and tries every artistic medium, but they all are failures. He's terrible at the clarinet, and he has nobody who he respects and can talk to. He puts himself above everyone else, not out of narcissism, but out of spite. He hates that society deems his work "Terrible" and "Belongs in the trash". He hates everyone around him for it, and yet, he's forced to work for these people every single day. He acts grumpy and rude because he feels everyone around him deserves it for shooting down his ambitions.
We do see Squidward act compassionate on rare occasions, such as in 'Pizza Delivery' where he sticks up for Spongebob. Squidward is good at heart, but that good has been blocked away by his failures as an artist and rejection by society.
Squidward is not evil, or mean, or narcissistic, he's a broken man, ambitions shot down, talent rejected, hated by everyone around him.
I really hope this comment will bring you around to Squidward.

Thank you! Goddamn people hating on squidward. Yes, he antagonises spongebob and Patrick but hell, I know what it's like to be around people who are annoying and when you want some peace and quiet and can't get it, it's... infuriating to no ends. He can't even take a bath without interruption. Yes he's lied in the past and is sometimes lazy like when he faked being injured at work when in reality he was lazing around on the job but he's far from evil. I'd go as far to say that he's in some scenarios less evil than most the cast.

Sponbgebob practically stalks Squidward so I would put him in the gray area & not in the low part of the good section. There is a whole episode that focuses on Squidward getting a restraining order against Spongebob.

Squidward is definitely in the Grey Area in terms of SpongeBob Characters good to Evil due he’s the shows who has the most anger problems outside of plankton and he’s a lot of times grumpy

Because SpongeBob has far more screen time than Plankton, so we don't get to see a more accurate number of times Plankton's actually been arrested, which occur off screen.
To be fair though, in most episodes, plankton isn't in jail, if he was arrested of screen he might be in jail in the beginning of some episodes, but that's just a theory... a SPONGE theory

Squidward deeply cares about spongebob, shown in “dying for pie”, “pizza delivery” and “fools in April”. In spongebob your fired he fought four restaurant owners who fired spongebob. In graveyard shift he also admits he likes spongebob. Truly he is scared and very insecure and covers it by being arrogant, and is grumpy because he’s alone like acts like recluse. He is grumpy because he lives next to a loud sponge which has changed his personality. And though he is arrogant, thinking he’s misunderstood, and he truly is but in a different way that he would think. He only works at the krusty krab until his careers takes off, and in the episode “can you spare a dime” he can’t get a new job easily and would be poor immediately. In “Opposite Day” his house can’t be sold at all due to spongebob and Patrick being bad neighbors (although it is partially his fault). When he moves to tentacle acres, he gets tired of the same schedule and goes nuts. He can’t have the perfect life, it’s just his character to be an unrecognized artist who is arrogant, he can’t play the clarinet, he works a dead end job until nothing will happen, is a failure and brings it open himself when he is good at something, is hired there forever when he does a strike and is stuck with a loud neighbor who has danced with loud techno music for 12 hours with a jellyfish. His attitude has been changed by spongebob, such as in a breath of fresh squidward saying that whenever spongebob is around his happy gland is stuck in a storm in his brain and cant find a recess deep enough to hide in, meaning whenever he sees spongebob his happiness is deprived, seen in “Sold” too. Spongebob can be majorly annoying to him with spongebob not knowing this and repeatedly doing it, however the video portrays him as a jerk (and I know he is) but only shows pizza delivery for his soul. So no, he can not get a new job and move away, but still I need to agree, squidwards a jerk.
When you take a something that seems sensible, such as spongebob destroying his garden, you come back to say he’s bad and arrogant. The only example of goodwill was sticking up to a random stranger that he delivered pizza too.
Though we shouldn’t just brush up squidwards bad deeds, but most of these bad deeds are to get back at someone annoying, so…?

Mermaid Man is an adorable old man. I love him, he’s sweet with a pure innocence. Barnacle Boy quit on him one episode and it seemed like he was gonna cry. I love Mermaid Man.

At first, I was upset that Sandy was ranked higher than Spongebob on the good side, but then I remembered Spongebob's chaotic behavior throughout the entire show, so now I'm fine with it. Heck I think even Barnacle Boy should be ranked above Spongebob.

What if they were once actually nearly half human sized? In theory it is the home to radiated creatures after all (Bikini Atoll = Bikini Bottom.) But thanks to SpongeBob's influences to knock the fish down more pegs the shrinking device effected them all in a way to become much MUCH smaller.

I placed Gary a bit lower because in an episode he can become violent when given hands and feet.
I placed Barnacle Boy above Spongebob because he's a hero, and he went to the dark side to not feel left out and he joins back with Mermaid Man after.
I placed Squidward at the bottom of the Good instead of the Grey because he sold everything in his house to make Spongebob happy, saved Spongebob from getting run over by a train etc.
I put Plankton over Mr Krabs because both made the formula but Mr Krabs took all the credit. Afterwards, Mr Krabs is a terrible boss who doesn't pay much at all to Spongebob and Squidward despite them doing all the work, while in some episodes Plankton welcomes his customers. Mr Krabs even cries over Plankton getting one customer!
I put Squilliam at the bottom because while Krabs and Plankton have done nice things before Squilliam hasn't.

Why is Squilliam so low? He's not evil, he's just a dick. He never really committed any crimes throughout the series. I would've ranked him just below Bubble Bass.
He manipulated and embarrassed Squidward, so much to the point that he needs to pay people to help with his antics. There was one episode where he hired people to dressed up as a police to arrest him and even hired tv crew to broadcast it live. Every episode that he’s in, he’ll always make Squidward embarrassed and jealous, at times, a bit too much.

And in the episode where SpongeBob was entering people's dreams is where we probably saw plankton at his most evil state....(destroying bikini bottom and presumably killing people in the process) he didn't even hesitate to attempt to kill gary. Technically this is a dream but still it shows basically what plankton really wants.

And there were times Plankton doesn't care that much for karen....heck I'd even say in some episodes he clearly cares more about the Krabby Patty formula than Karen.

I think Patrick should've leaned more in the good side because, like Spongebob, he usually is a well meaning character and doesn't mean to cause harm to others, but is rather simply seen as annoying by others, and aside from that, a lot of his darkest moments were due to poor characterization in already sub-par episodes.

Just watch the first SpongeBob movie and you'll find out.
He is very capable of doing bad things. However, it is impossible without help from others whether the help is aware or not; he's small and can only do so much. Take that one beach episode where Plankton was "helping" spongebob be assertive for example; by using Spongebob's naive and good nature and turning it around, Plankton had him chase beach goers away in order to build the Chum bucket Mega bucket. Another example is in the 1st movie when he steals king Neptune's crown and uses the king's short temper (and stupidity) to his own advantage by framing Mr. Krabs and taking the secret formula and later used mind control to take control of Bikini bottom. However, when he does it with no help at all, he ultimately fails, especially when said help either breaks away or turns on him the last minute.

Honestly, I didn't realize that those 2 fish couple that come up to and ask Larry about the sand bar (either that, or the snack bar, I'm not sure as it was/is sort of a bit hard to understand exactly what they said) were his parents, I always thought that they were just some random fish couple that wanted to know about something, and bothered to ask Larry. I know that it is brought when they were walking off that the perspective of relationships and up raising was brought up, but as I heard it, I always thought that they were just commenting on the fact that Larry was being polite to them regarding asking them to leave and just mentioned about how that it was like they raised Larry. Also, I do sort of agree that plankton and Mr.krabs' roles should be reversed, considering that Mr.krabs poisoned his customers (or kustomers) on a few instances, and even forced spongebob to write lies in the newspaper and ruined a lot of the people's lives around town, even shutting down Plankton's restaurant. plankton himself commenting on the fact that he thought he was evil after his restaurant was shut down. Mr.krabs even caused plankton to resort to suicide at one point after exploiting Plankton's fear of whales. Granted, yes, some of the things can be compared, such as plankton himself poisoning his customers too, but, the whole idea that he just doesn't sell anything else outside of chum is part of the issue. Mr.Krabs also selfishly sells spongebob for the 62 cents that the dutchman has in his pocket.

The movie version of Neptune is far more worse than than the muscular,handsome one from the series’ Neptune’s Spatula(except for some funny moments such as the famous BALD scene,his epic freak outs,and the ending),not only he tried to murder Krabs out of punishment,he’s also:
-Didn’t realize Krab’s innocence and thinks he did it because Plankton wrote him a fake note saying he did it.
-almost punished his servant for touching his crown.
-threatened to fry SpongeBob along with his boss when he defends Krabs from Neptune’s wrath
-He’s absolutely pigheaded and blinded by his own judgements and harsh punishments(he made his own squire execute the pole after bumping into it when he’s on his way to falsely accuse Krabs)
-Frightened and Locked Mindy out of the Krusty Krabs 2 when she drove him crazy during the execution,I never seen such Neptune reprimanding his daughter to be so dramatic and harsh after a hilarious scene
-There’s no legit reason or cause on why he treats his subjects very harshly and brutally,his awful temper, and why he became such a spiteful,horrible leader ruiling over them with a iron fist.
I think the movie Neptune should’ve been better if they gave him more of a soft,kinder side and a absolute reason to his horrible behavior and why his crown was so important to him. Also,give him more scenes of him and Mindy.

When Squidward learned Karate, he once committed assault to another guy who just wanted to give him back his groceries. Even though Sandy told him he shouldn't use it for revenge. Spongebob was even disappointed in Squidward for this act of violence, which is not surprising since he called Patrick out numerous times for his bad behavior.
