Good to work you the other day at K-3669. Just one thing is you are considered portable not mobile (in a moving vehicle). If I am wrong let me know. Great work and keep the videos coming de KG2MM
You are right. I'm a new ham and sometimes I'm not quite sure the proper terms. It was nice to work with you as well at K-3669. I hope to hear from you again on the air. 73 de VE3DAL
>P-EQ1 FREQ: 300 >P-EQ1 Level: 15 >P-EQ1 BWTH: 8 Level set at -10 to 15 db would be a more suitable starting point for the the lower band of the parameteric equalizer for adult males. Final setting will depend on the individuals' voice and operating conditions. For best effect use some compression but dont go overboard. Keep an eagle eye on the ALC and the TX on the FT-891 is not very clean if provoked. The TX 3 band parameteric equalizer on the yaesu rigs can give a huge boost both on clarity and talk power for even difficult voices but is somewhat tricky to setup.
@@VE3DAL I forgot to mention that MEQ and PRC both need to be enabled in the control menu or the radio will ignore the TX audio setting. When it comes to Ham Radio there is always something new to learn and often something old to re-learn! 73
G5TM is a genius. He really knows a lot about HAM Radio especially portable and mobile HAM Radio operating. 💯👍
Yes he is! I watch his videos all the time. 73 friend

Hi Denis, thank you so much and as a new Ham information like this is very valuable for me. I will try this setting in the future. 73 de VE3DAL.

@@denis77996 Thank you Denis.
Interesting, what level compression were you running with the processor on? I've had good reports since I changed mine.
The changes I did plus on the back of the mic switch set to 2.
@@VE3DAL You enable those changes using "Function - 1" menu item "PRC" at 40 or 50. PRC = processor. Without PRC is 15-01 to 15-09 settings... Cheers.
@@ChannelofRichPierik Thank you for the info Richard. 73
