I LOVE that you used the big needles and very bulky yarn to demonstrate! It’s genius! So many tutorials use the needle/hook/yarn size from the pattern and it’s hard for me to see and follow what they are actually doing. THANK YOU!

Thank you so much for the tutorial! I love that you show both “English” and “Continental” styles of knitting. Most “how-to” videos use continental style but I knit English style so it was very helpful. In fact, I didn’t even know what my style was called until you said it in this video.😁👍🏻❤️

I remember I was determined to learn continental a few years back. It was sooo awkward, but I made myself do it for several days. I’m so happy I did. Now, that is my natural way to knit. Just a little encouragement for anyone who has wanted to learn this way… you will get it if you practice. (This isn’t a judgment about the American way to knit. Both achieve the same outcome. Just encouraging anyone who WANTS to learn and may have quit because it is so awkward-or was for me- at first 😃)

Thanks for your comment! Been deliberating on making the switch because continental seems smoother and more intuitive - but also intimidating! Any videos you recommend on learning it? If not no worries, going to check it out anyway!

Thanks for using the big needles to show us all. That was so much clearer for me as a beginner. I'm currently doing a scarf and it's a knit two pearl two so it's basically I think a rib stitch it looked quite similar but this one I'm your video looks so much more aligned and neater. I'm so glad I found this. Thanks so much ❤️

This is a great tutorial. I haven't knitted in years (probably 40 years...so, yes, I'm old🙂). I have been wanting to knit again. This will be a fabulously quick stitch for scarfs, and watch caps. I crochet for charities, and this will give me a knit option, too. The large needles and the 2 methods of knitting in your video are much appreciated...so easy to see the pattern. Thanks again🤗...and now I have to go get my needles out of my plants. Did you know knitting needles make wonderful plant supports 😂.

This tutorial was so helpful for the sweater pattern I want to make! The pattern indicates it’s a Fisherman’s rib but alternates a knit row. No other video has this pattern. I DO love the fabric it creates and now able to see why my pattern requires so much yarn! Thank You so much!!

You can knit this stitch in the round but it needs the alternating rows to make the pattern, so the place a marker and the start of your work and every time you knit around to it you switch to either a even or odd row as shown in the video

Thank you for your video. I have a jumper with this rib and was wondering how it was knitted as to make it more interesting it is finely stripped and that makes it harder to work out. It looks lovely and I really wanted to copy it but obviously didn't want to undo one of my favourite jumpers. Oh by the way that is not the English way of knitting it's an English way of knitting. I've been knitting for sixty years and have never knitted like that and only realised when I was an adult some people in this neck of the woods do knit that way. I don't take my hand off the needle. Now for some reason someone has called it lever knitting. Oh well whatever rocks their boat. Once again thanks for your video and all your others. Please keep them coming :-))
