Having been born in England I am English,I speak English, I write English and my families English etc etc. So that always seems such a strange expression to me when people from other countries talk about putting English on the cue ball as opposed to spin or side. Snooker is 90% mechanics of shooting and just making the ball, very few snooker players can beat good pool players at pool. The first years of the Mosconi cup were filled with snooker players vs pool players and the record shows how they did. It was not till Europe stated to actually play pool were they able to start beating real pool players.

What is this SWISH sound when shots are shot, like used to make sword fighting more realistic. Who decided to make this for pool shots. It's doesn't work. It just sounds silly.
Ridiculous, its harder to miss the shots with the size of those pockets, the only skill is in the positioning with very little skill required to get the balls in those huuuge pockets.

People who don't understand that there aren't actually many successful 'trickshots' in a tournament. Also the obnoxious group of snooker watchers who feel the need to remind everybody here how easy pool is. ..Is inferiority complex the right term? I can't decide
It's hard to get good if you're not playing pretty much on a professional and 100% leveled table which most places don't care about. I've missed very easy shots playing at bars or any place other than my table because peeople sitting on the tables and the tables just being old can make them become out of balance. Even the tiniest bit will affect your game.
