- Following the example of Tolkien's incredible writing style where we experience the story from the perspective of the characters, I would like to present you a new project - Secrets of the Palantír, the series about the mysteries, curiosities and all things Middle-earthish!
The idea is to find out answers to all interesting questions from Tolkien's abundant world through Palantíri's visions.
The theme of the first video is the Stone of Erech, known as The Black Stone. Large mysterious sphere, the covenanth stone, known for the oath place of which the king of the mountains swore to Isildur.
The Stone is connected with the prophecy from the days of Arvedui, in which Malbeth the seer foretold Aragorn's passage through the Paths of the Dead.
The hill of Erech was located in Gondor, at the beginning of the Blackroot Vale in the White Mountains. The head of the Blackroot Vale was where the entrance to the Paths of the Dead was located.

This had the BEST narrator I have heard! I'm sick of Americans posting content with their attempts at a British accent.
I really loved the Paths of the Dead part in the books. It was actually quite scary. Much much better and far more subtle than the movies.
Animation of the rings,,, I love it,,, coincidentally I just found the Phil dragash stuff which is also qwality :-)

Praised be algorithm!
Great production, however, it lacked in-depth analysis on the Stone of Erech...
1. Who created it & how long was it chiseled?
2. How was it moved from Numenor & what ship was it loaded onto?
3. Once they berthed in Middleearth, how did the Numenorians bring the Stone to the top of the mountain & why did they choose that particular site?
4. Was a garrison of men posted there to protect it, or did it possess the power of self-preservation?
5. Did Sauron exploit that huge stone to the detriment of the Dunlandings?
