I made the mistake of buying the CRV Hybrid Sport L, as had to pay $500 for spare tire kit. Here in desert a blowout will leave you stranded and Honda just gives you an inflato. Then I find out no temp gauge to determine when heater is warm, no TPMS for individual tires, so manually have to check each tire. New 2025 Toyota Camry has all of those and the Accord Hybrid lacks them. I may look at the upcoming 2026 RAV 4 and trade the CRV in...only advantage Accord has is bigger trunk and a bit more rear passenger legroom.
My last accord (2014 sport) was totaled in an accident. I kept my spare tire that was in the car. All I had to purchase was the foam that goes around the tire. It cost me $100
Great review Anthony. The MPGs are really great but I would end up going with Hyundai or Kia. The lack of actual buttons is just no bueno for me and I'm surprised that Honda did that considering that more manufacturers seem to be bringing them back. I'm just so used to having the actual buttons and the few times I've driven cars with just the screen was not fun lol! 84 here so far and so nice. It was a very chilly 37 last night and I'm still resisting the urge to turn the heat on lol! How are things on your side? I did make it past midnight but then I was done! Sounds like might be close to being done at your place which must feel good. I'm so happy for you to see the growth in your channel since I found it and wish you much success always. Happy New Year and happy Wednesday Anthony
Thank you James. This or the Sonata is a hard choice but because of warranty probably Hyundai. I agree having buttons helps, it doesn’t have to be an airplane lol but a few makes it better. Nice weather on your side, you must have great sleep with that cooler weather. It was in the 70s today but I had a lot of home improvements to do. We changed the living room around and added some new paint to a few walls. Now I’m about to eat some homemade Chicken Alfredo and tea. Thanks I appreciate that, the channel has came a long way and my teams are better than ever. None of this would be where it is without follows like you. Happy 2025 Wednesday James
I have the EX. It’s a great everyday car. I like that it at least looks different from the previous gen though it’s bland. The new Camry looks no different than the previous gen. Just a facelift.
@@HawkeyeRides yes thats right but unfortunately the car has zero emotions and thats why Honda can´t sell many of this car like Toyota with the very sporty looking new Camry.
Good review. I have the Sport L in Urban Gray Pearl...but the CRV not the Accord. The Accord has some of the same strengths as the CRV, and all the same negatives. I had a 2020 CRV gas model that I leased and liked it, but since I purchased my 2024 CRV Sport L Hybrid, I've noticed a few negatives besides the 2 recalls this year. The new Camry did not cut any of these. Though the Accord trunk is bigger than Camry there is no spare tire. Had to pay $500 for a kit has here in the desert, a sidewall blowout means you're waiting in the extreme heat for a tow to the dealer. Honda also cutback by doing away with the temp gauge. We notice with the on again off again gas hybrid engine, it can take awhile for the engine to heat up, and with no temp gauge, we're guessing when it is warm enough to put the heater on. The biggest cutback for me was doing away with the individual Tire Pressure Monitoring System on the CRV, and I presume the Accord Hybrid too. It no longer shows each individual tire's pressure, so I have to go out and manually check them now when I get a notice that a tire is low. I know the Camry kept theirs. The Accord battery warranty is also less than Toyota's, and recently, Honda announced it will no longer offer 2 complimentary maintenance services for 2025 models, unlike Toyota. I still got 2 because I have a 2024 model. Sadly, Honda has a space in the Accord Hybrid for a spare tire under the floor, but didn't put a spare in it and, as you know, an inflator is useless for sidewall blowouts. Though it is a matter of taste, the touchscreen sticking up above the dash could have been better integrated too like other sedans. I like my CRV Hybrid, giving it an 8/10, but with my wife's medical issues, we're looking at a lower-to-the-ground sedan, and unless the 2026 Accord refresh is significantly better than the current one, we'll be looking at the new Camry. Thanks for a good review.
I love mine. Plenty fast for this old guy. No issues and love the looks. My third Honda. I believe Toyota has recalls too . The massive Tundra engine recalls and replacement are massive. Seems like it can happen to any manufacturer. It’s how they handle it with the customers that counts.
I know everyone has their own opinion but I have one in crystal black. It’s a leather trim so I got the 19 inch sportier looking wheels. Mind you I’m 20 and think it looks sharp and sophisticated. It’s definitely a more mature car and performance is not lacking.
Lack of a spare tire on the Accord has me shopping for a Camry.

One problem. it’s sucks. Camry destroys it. Sakes are plummeting. Recalls like crazy. Ugly, slow.
Toyota makes a great vehicle but to each its own and nothing is wrong with that 👍

The Camry is nice but basically looks like old one. Better off saving money getting the old one as a hybrid.

They messed up both the looks and less power. Very* boring. They will lose a lot of sales
They are great family vehicles but losing power isn’t the way to go. Hybrid vehicles can have a lot more power and keep great mpg
